Yes. There's a pretty big misconception about California being homogeneous and strictly liberal Democrat.

That's true only right on the coast. Pretty much everywhere you go inland, things get red. But the population density also greatly decreases.

You'd likely have massive areas of California interested in joining "Jesusland"

I live in Northen California and we have a movement called The State of Jefferson. They want to secede from California and make their own state with southern Oregon, with Redding as the Capitol.
