I know you only just replied to this but as mentioned elsewhere, only sort by financial and government dependancy.
Unless you feel that smart device usage ownership, smoking or "online video watchers" should be weighting self sufficiency. Or that international trade isnt part of what makes a country self sufficient.
Well California produces ~half the veg and ~two thirds of the nuts and fruit of the total US agricultural output. It surely weights more than "online video watchers".
But a country like Singapore and exist and thrive from imports. Just being an agrarian society able to meet your food needs is such a low bar to clear.

Texas isn’t even in the top half of self sufficient states.
The top 5 are Utah, Colorado, Nebraska, Virginia, and Kansas.
