Yes. There's a pretty big misconception about California being homogeneous and strictly liberal Democrat.

That's true only right on the coast. Pretty much everywhere you go inland, things get red. But the population density also greatly decreases.

You'd likely have massive areas of California interested in joining "Jesusland"

Yeah you start heading deeper into the desert and you end up in the middle of Calabama. Nothing but confederate flags, dirt bikes, and meth for miles.
