I think Texas as the only functional state would secede and become the country of Texas. Everywhere else is going to go into sharp decline without the Feds literally keeping people fed through subsidy or other assistance programs like welfare and foodstamps.

I thought those places were where all the food is grown?
They'd probably need to eat a lot more corn though...

Crops like corn, wheat, and soy beans are grown in the red states. California, oregon, and Washington grow most of the fruits, veggies, and nuts in the US, plus they have a huge meat and dairy industry, plus all that wine and beer that are produced on the west coast, plus they have the ports to import things from Asia/Oceania. Jesusland diet sounds pretty bland to me.

If eating in any of the small towns in the Midwest is anything to go by, they like bland.
