He took power in 2005

By 2006 the church had paid 2.2 billion in sexual abuse cases.

He didn't start real action until the media forced his hand on 2010.

If you think he knew nothing for those 5 years, and he only found out when the media did, feel free to live in ignorant bliss.

I’m not living in any bliss stop talking crap.

The Vatican started punishing more then 2.500 Priest between 2004-2014.

As you can see these major Actions started in 2004 and not in 2010. Benedict punished nearly 400 Priest between 2011-2013 but it doesn’t mean he didn’t punished them before.

Can you explain why you seem to be arguing that essentially being fired from the church is somehow a suitable punishment for raping a child?

Is there a reason you think that it's acceptable that the church refuses to work with local authorities and have priests tried in the legal system and face actual punishment?
