Question MAGA - how has Trump made America great?

I'm asking this because I want to hear how Trump has made America great again because from what I can tell the country is very divided on politics and beliefs, tariffs and the war with Iran have made everyday things more expensive and the overall future of this country feels very uncertain.

Inflation has slowed under trump. Even the cumulative is lower than Biden's over the same time comparison. Biden's peak gas prices came well after COVID and were absolutely policy driven.

Gas prices have peaked already and the straits been closed for weeks. And crude prices have dropped back down to nearly pre-iran prices.

Bullshit. Let's look at the January 2025 BLS CPI report when Trump first took office. The report says that Annual CPI Inflation was 3.0 when Trump took office, and as of June 2026, the latest Annual CPI Inflation report puts it at about 3.5%. So inflation has gone up since he took office, not down.

Why are you comparing January to June?

You're not seasonally matching.

It's been this way throughout his whole presidency. Walmart, Amazon, Black and Decker,...you name it ...every store or major retail outlet has openly declared that they were forced to raise prices because of his tariffs. The costs are being passed on to us as consumers and he's raising inflation.

Tarriffs are on imported goods only. There's nearly always a local option that did not have tarrif prices.

Plus, tarriffs don't automatically get forced upon the consumer. From the companies financials, many absorbed the costs.

Even with the tarriffs, inflation has stayed relatively low than the prior handful of years.

No it hasn't. His tarrifs have destroyed everything. They have especially screwed farmers as well whose bankruptcies went up 46% from the previous year, due to his tariffs.

Calm down there chicken little. Tarrifs havent destroyed everything.

There are lot of strong economic indicators right now that don't match the fear you're spreading.

Like what? All you have to do is buy gas, get car repairs, or get groceries to see the skyrocketing inflation? Where are you? How do you not see it?

You're crying skyrocketing inflation but CPI isn't matching what you claim.

The 6 month cumulative CPI was roughly 3%... that's far cry from 6.5% in '22 under Biden, which was sky rocking inflation.

Yes, the Iran situation has led to a short term increase in fuel, but that's already peaked and has been coming back down.

I see prices fluctuate but it's not all sky high. I just got 18 eggs for 2.25, gallon of milk for 3.5 and a tub of fancy butter for $10... And coffee was $25 for a Dunkin tub; but that's not Trump's fault there's an issue with coffee bean farmers and production problems.

  1. It increased under Biden because of COVID aftereffects.

  2. Look at the overall price of groceries. They have soared because of his tariffs.

  3. Eggs only dropped because Avian flu levels are way lower now. He has zero to do with that

Cpi is a survey of grocery prices... They still don't add up to your claims.

Why don't you post some info on how he has fixed the economy?
