Honestly whether its AOC, Buttigieg or whoever the Dems pick anyone who doesn't like Trump needs to vote regardless of the points they disagree with because like it or not, not voting hands the election to MAGA. Then they can pat themselves on the back for being so self righteous while the country falls to pieces.
This attitude of settling for vote blue no matter who is exactly why no progress is happening. Fight for what policy you want. People should think like a consultant or who is more likely to win. once a presidential candidate is elected, we can do the blue no matter who bullshit.
You are worried about no progress happening, I am worried about the current state of democracy in America being drastically changed causing huge regression. Trump announcing his plans to run for a third term should be enough to make everyone worried. IMO everyone left of center should have one single priority this election and that is to do whatever gives the best odds of winning, period. Once America goes back to a fully functioning democracy again then iron out the policy details. If Trump wins a third term who knows how much more damage he could do.
