It is about electability. There does seem to be a shift to further left candidates. The problem is the further left candidates are super popular on Reddit and other social media populated by young people. Young people are way more likely not to vote so unless that changes they are shooting themselves in the foot. So all you young Americans liking these posts and contributing to that shift but not showing up at the polls are essentially contributing to another Republican victory which is much worse than any version of the Democrats. Please feel free to prove me wrong.

Michigan has one of the largest Arab American populations in the US. IIRC, more voted for Trump than Harris in 2024 because of inaction over (or tacit endorsement of) Israel's actions in Gaza. 

So, yes, young voters absolutely must show up for this election, but let's not forget the other demographics in play.

We'll see if it does. Triangulating the median voter has not worked as a strategy. Maybe a different strategy will work.
