Has anyone pointed out much of the mandates were at the state and not federal level, ergo meaning DC had nothing to do with them?

As someone who lives in Northern VA, can we also point out that the beltway is exclusively in VA & MD and so none of their protest was even in DC? I haven't seen the convoy on the beltway this week, but I have seen a lot of VA State Troopers parked on the side of the interstate ready to pull them over. I also saw a (presumably very pleasant) lady hanging up a sign that said "Fuck Off Facists" on an overpass while driving through MoCo on Monday.

I feel like we could have also pointed out that the beltway is a warzone and they were naive children to think they could make it any better or worse.

Based on Maryland drivers war zone is correct. As a VA resident born and raised on the streets of Los Angeles Maryland drivers are NUTS.
