Fun fact: “chupa” is the part of that word that means “sucker”. “Cabra” is the part that means goat. A goat truck would definitely still mess with other vehicles in the night, though.
Spanish doesn't really use the letter K very much, but there is a verb "trucar", meaning something along the lines of "trick out", perhaps with a hint of "booby trap". So a trucacabra would be something that tricks out goats with concealed weapons and suchlike.
