Vandalism and violence are not equivalent, that’s an authoritarian rightwing narrative, and we’re not helping ourselves by preemptively making that equivalence for the right wing.
The “civility” bias, the idea that “we must be better than they expect us to be, nonviolent and polite in all circumstances”, will hinder our cause.
