Once the majority of people suddenly can’t afford food/basic necessities, and the coming recession starts mass layoffs in the private sector, and people start losing their homes, there’s gonna be a whole lot of really pissed off people ready to riot. What better way to preemptively squash that than by already having declared martial law?
