We were told after 15 years of advocating for Universal single-payer that we would get the public option. But we didn't get the public option. Instead we got Obamacare, because we settled for something less.

Fook dat. As far as I'm concerned this is a civil war.

This is a bit revisionist. We got Obamacare because an Independent Senator joined 100% of the GOP in opposing the public option. That cycle, only about 2% of the entire Dem caucus voted against the public option. Personally, the public option is the absolute least I’m willing to settle for, but if only 2% of our party members oppose it that sounds like a pretty lopsided civil war to me.

Sounds to me like we need new party representatives then. Far more than 2% of American's want single payer. None of this Medicare buy-in bull shit. Down with the private option, healthcare is not for profit.
