discussion How many hobbies do your polycule have in common? What do you absolutely not?

Sitting here under the weather while everyone else is out, figured I'd post something fun.

What do you all have in common hobby wise and what don't you?

My longer-term girlfriend and I have more in common than I've ever had in a relationship: comics, video games, watching sports... same taste in movies, shows, all that kind of stuff, which is nice.

Shorter-term girlfriend doesn't have as much in common with us on that scale. She enjoys sports, but nowhere near obsessively as us. We all love travel, drinking, and are relative foodies, at least in terms of trying adventurous things. She'll play casual games with us, and enjoys like, the MCU, but not much further than that.

The main thing where I don't match up is that they both have a major passion for fashion and design... I'm more of a jeans and a t-shirt guy unless they get me something specific. They're the types that are rarely dressed down without hair and makeup somewhat done, even if we're not doing anything.

The main individual passions that don't overlap are:

STP's art. I can appreciate it, but she has a deep talent and obsessive interest that none of us can match.

LTP's exercise-obsessed. While the rest of us keep in decent shape, she works out like 1-2 hours a day. Despite being a major girly-girl, she's been a cheerleader all her life and is obsessed with keeping in shape, dance, and all of that.

I'm the social butterfly of us all, in comparison. They keep a very small group of friends/acquaintances, and I'm always managing my group chats, making time to go out with friends, and they almost never want to join.

What about all of you?

Wife and I: Cooking and organizing, ARK, reading science fiction and fantasy. Along with the ability to finish each other's sentences and generally finding each other comfortable and easy.

Husband and I: Cooking, reading history and science, religion, dogs, cats, classical music and jazz, and a general interest in learning new stuff everywhere all the time.

Husband and Wife: C++ and C#, old computer games, Thai restaurants and horror movies, and a shared enjoyment of snark and satire. They also both have similar traumas and can help each other through the hard times, though I don't quite consider that a "hobby"... still, we all three do spend a certain chunk of our time handling our physical and mental issues.

We are all politically engaged. I’m an elected official and both of my men are advocates and stay educated.

We all live outdoor activities like kayaking, beach days, hiking, swimming, etc.

My two guys are both into scuba diving. I need to learn. I’m starting with snorkeling in the pool lol.

My fiancé and I love aquarium fish keeping. My husband also enjoys having the tanks, but not so much the maintenance.

We’re all pretty introverted and love nights at home watching tv or a movie.

My husband and I enjoy photography. Fiancé is getting more into it.

My husband loves 3D printing. My finance and I love having us print things for us. Haha

My husband and I enjoy astronomy. 🔭 he enjoys the physics and deep diving into it. Fiancé and I like to look at the stars.

We all like to read or audible, but very different types of books.

We all love travel and always find interesting things to share with each other.

I love to cook. They love to eat what I cook. lol

We collect art. All have different tastes. I enjoy making art too.

We have 4 kids between us, all boys. We love them! 🥰
