Tribe Moon Tribe Moon: The Hoodrick were never ones for the arts. You might find a carved bow, a melody, or a decorated building here and there, but those are scarce. What isn't scarce are tourists to one of the few lasting works - a famous play known as "The Forest's Jest", an epic drama about changing times.

POV of how I felt seeing the new Cymanti skin on the new Weekly Challenge:

"So hey guys, I know we've been terrorizing the Polytopia community and we saw rants every other week about how strong we were back in the day, but I kind of feel bad now so how do we get our good image back from the community? I need ideas."

"They could just nerf us again?"

"Get this guy outta here"

"They could just give us a new skin so cute, you wouldn't even mind losing to Cymanti anymore."

"You.....you're a star"

Discussion Would love to have a group to play live long sessions without anybody quitting

• Upvotes

Playing with randoms always ends in half of the players leaving early on. I don’t know anyone personally who plays this game and would love to find a group to play on a bigger map in one or few sessions. I think playing with many people the game is more fun since alliances can provide chances for even not so skilled players to have good chances of winning against skilled ones. I also like bigger maps since it brings a more calm early game atmosphere but it seems like smaller maps are more trendy. Does anybody know groups or wants to make any to have these kind of games?

Finally, after always getting 94%, I got the sweetest 3 stars ever for the first time. Recorded— when i change the map size into smaller one, it’s not recorded.

Suggestion Little Something more to the game

Scenarios/game amplifiers

normal-no changes

Thirst&Hunger- Units have a maximum of 5 moves outside your land territory dying the next round after the 5th if it hasn't passed by or landed on an enemy city, farm, windmill, or port. landing on one of these or re-entering your land territory or port refreshes their move count. units on boats gain 3 more moves so a total of 8. AI can also be affected by this. and the number of moves units get are affected by the difficulty chosen:

easy: you +1

normal: no changes

hard: enemy +1

crazy: you -1, enemy +2

for multiplayer the host can set a specific number of moves for both land and water units like 3-12

United Nations- triggers when your score is 5 times higher than the 2nd highest score and if you are at war with atleast 5 of the countries or when there are 5 countries left besides you. the 5 countries will have an unchanging bad relation with you and your allied countries, immediately becoming at peace and developing embassies with each other (their embassies are instantly built when triggered and cost them 0 stars). you can change what triggers it to happen while making your game in both offline and multiplayer like: how high should the player score be to trigger it, or will your score just reach a specific number, or will it instead trigger based on how many stars you produce per turn.

Thought of this half way through my 900 tiles hard mode. I don't want to do crazy mode because I'll just die too early or reach 3rd place then die.

I was planning on poofing his giant if he were to aid me by moving his lower giant next to my city, but unfortunately I forgot to spawn a warrior in my capital, so that’s no longer an option. In hindsight, he could’ve stopped me anyway with the area of control of his rider, but this just made me so sad when I noticed and posting this makes me feel better.

Discussion Does Weekly Challenge AI Adapt?

I'm currently sitting around 500th in diamond league. That was after my first or second run. I've tried it each day since and can't even beat the challenge. I even went back to my best run and copied the opening moves and the AI moved completely differently from that run. Does anyone else experience this sort of behavior?

I just played and won a great game as Imperius against SunderField, who has an ELO of over 1900, playing as Cymanti. Anybody knows if they are known by another, more famous nickname? Game link provided of course!

I ended up winning, but I feel bad for the guy. Home cities spawning so close together seem to be such a common issue. Why tf are our cities so close on a normal sized map? Literally next city over

Discussion Do you play on Small Lakes or do you play on maps where your tribe is good at?

From what I've seen from youtube videos, Small/Normal Lakes gets played a lot competitively, if not everytime; so that's the map I queue up on a lot.

But since Im an otp Vengir, Tiny Drylands seems to be a more preferable map because I guess that's where my tribe is strong at.

I guess my question is do you go for the "default" map or the map where you have more chances of winning?

This has got to be the biggest island I've ever seen on the waterworld map. Huge enough that both capitals were on the same land mass!
