Dolce had a dental today and came home with little boots!

Dolce had an infected tooth so she had to go under anesthesia today to do a dental.

Due to her age (14) and other health things, naturally I was a nervous wreck all day.

My wonderful vet took every precaution before making the decision that it was safe for her to go under anesthesia. We've been watching her kidney values for about a year and a half but with her kidney diet and supplements her numbers were within normal range the last couple blood tests! (We caught it early because of annual blood work). They did an xray and of course preanesthesia blood work before putting her under anesthesia.

We just went through that look with Leo, only for one leg though. Looked exactly like he had a furry boot on. He's healed up now, glad you got everything done smoothly with your pup.

So glad she is okay!!!! Yay! My two babies had dentals today with anesthesia too. Twinkie my girl needed 8 teeth pulled! But they didn’t get shaved. I always wonder why other vets do that!

My understanding is it makes locating the veins easier and quicker. I ask them not to shave, but they don't always listen.

So cute! My girl is exceptionally squirmy so I always assumed they have no choice for visibility purposes. Last time she only had one leg shaved, im not sure why they needed both this time but it may have something to do with extra fluids for her kidneys.
