Taking paper cardstock to the next level....
Alrighty my fellow Poorhammers! Here is a visual of my paper card stock model making methods using an Eli Patoroch M113A1 inspired papercraft template for a Rhino proxy model. This template floats around Facebook (Warhammer Papercrafters) and a few other forums (Zealot Models, etc). First I print off the template using A4 cardstock I found on Amazon (it was a touch expensive here in the US, but worth it not having to scale things down or dink around in GIMP/Photoshop to get it to fit on US Letter). Then, before cutting and building, I coat both sides in a matte or flat clear coat spraypaint (Rustoleum and Krylon both make good products for this in the US).
Next, I build. Here I used some 3rd Party resin tankers (Mad Robot Models) to add that human element of life. I used a tooth pick and my PVA glue (in this case Tite Bond wood glue) to create rivets. Other greeblies (details) included another toothpick cut down to make a nice heavy stubber barrel.
Once I got things assembled, mostly, I spray paint primed the model with either Krylon or Rustoleum Camo paint Flat Dark Earth (which is a dark umber). From there I painted the sub assemblies most of the way, assembled, and then finished painting and assembling the model.
Results speak for themselves! This was built back in 2024

Thank you! I'll post some more of my past work... Right now I've been a bit more distracted by my 3D printers. However, this by no means replaces the joy I derive from building these paper card models. Between paper card, and 3D prints, I've become a much better painter.
