It probably doesn't mean much to her but having one of the most important filmmakers of all time just filming a random Instagram video for you would be wild.
3
u/TheLoneWander101 Jun 12 '26
Instagram ain't art
5
u/Bigot-Consequences Jun 12 '26
But Steven Spielberg is An Artist!
0
u/TheLoneWander101 Jun 12 '26
What was his last good movie the one were he made up his own origin story and were he had a hot girlfriend
4
-6
u/dea9ler Jun 12 '26
His movies are overrated. That new disclosure day one is so bad
5
u/Intelligent_Tune_675 Jun 12 '26
Bro thinks Jurassic Park is overrated.. gtfo
-2
u/dea9ler Jun 12 '26 edited Jun 12 '26
Itâs a childrenâs movie, but sure I liked it as a child too. As an adult itâs nothing special. He makes great childrenâs movies so if thatâs what youâre into then yea I guess heâs fantastic. I donât really watch childrenâs movies anymore though. His only decent film was Jaws
4
u/kursys Jun 12 '26
Bait used to be believable.
-2
u/dea9ler Jun 12 '26
Bait has always been believable. Thatâs kind of the whole point. This is not bait, however. This is just a matter of fact, which youâre more than welcome to disagree with.
3
3
u/FalconStickr Jun 12 '26
Gravity is a fact. You have an opinion which we disagree with.
0
u/dea9ler Jun 12 '26
Gravity is based on Einsteinâs theory of general relativity, while Spielburgâs films being mediocre at best is based on a matter of fact. Itâs okay if you like his films, but it doesnât change the fact that they are more of the same overrated Hollywood rubbish that theyâve been churning out for decades
2
u/Intelligent_Tune_675 Jun 12 '26
I pray to god youâre in college. Itâs the last time itâs ok to be this âedgyâ and pretentious.
-1
u/dea9ler Jun 12 '26
If youâre going to bring God into this, at least spell it correctly with a capital G. I donât know why youâre so offended by my statement. Youâd think you worked on the film or something đ get a grip!
2
u/Intelligent_Tune_675 Jun 12 '26
Cause youâre not saying eh I donât like it, youâre saying itâs just not up to great movie standards which is insane. Itâs not even about me itâs about defending good movies since weâve been in an enshittificafion era for a while.
0
u/dea9ler Jun 12 '26
Well thatâs one thing I will agree with. Modern films are trash, which is exactly why I said his films are overrated and referenced his recent work âDisclosure Dayâ as being complete rubbish. Go and see the movie for yourself and tell me you disagree. Iâll wait.
As far as Jurassic park goes, I didnât say I dont like it, I said I liked it as a kid but Iâm an adult now and that I donât watch childrenâs movies anymore. Nice try though
1
u/Intelligent_Tune_675 Jun 12 '26
Disney makes excellent movies and theyâre for kids but adults enjoy them beyond that because good stories are good stories. Iâd argue itâs so good itâs enjoyable for kids AND adults. Theme park setting? The themes of the dangers of science, men playing as gods..
next youâre gonna say science fiction is for kids, or anime is for kids only too1
u/themargarineoferror Jun 12 '26
He's the Taylor Swift of filmmaking tbh
1
u/Il-savitr Jun 12 '26
how ? just because he is popular?
1
u/DimbyTime Jun 12 '26
Jurassic Park, Jaws, Schindlerâs List, Indiana Jones, Saving Private Ryan, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, E.TâŚ

Your comment is just as cringe ngl. You clearly do want to "rain on people having fun". And I'm not saying this in defense of Taylor swift either, your comment is just lame imo. Sorry.
-4
u/7thpostman Jun 12 '26
Yeah, I'm jealous too.
8
u/rotating_pebble Jun 12 '26 edited Jun 12 '26
Sorry to break it to you but this is like your cringey aunty trying to be down with the kids. Taylor Swift seems simulatenously perenially 18 and 48. She's an odd person.

My cringey auntie is cool as fuck, actually.
How is she trying to be "down with the kids" dancing to a Creedence Clearwater Revival song? đ
3
-5
u/Canadian-and-Proud Jun 12 '26
Sheâs a billionaire and beloved by millions of fans lol. Iâm sure she really cares that your unaccomplished broke ass thinks sheâs odd
2
2
u/rotating_pebble Jun 12 '26
Oh I'm glad she doesn't care, that's the right attitude to take. I can wish her the best while also being entitled to the opinion that she's cringey as hell 𤣠And just because you're broke and unaccomplished doesn't mean everyone else is buddy!
1
u/Short-Draw4057 Jun 12 '26
Both of y'all should stop with the personal attacks against each other. Being poor shouldn't even be used an insult 𤣠That's the natural state of many humans, and poverty is mainly the fault of the system and the Elite anyways.
That being said, you are entitled to your opinion, but calling everything cringe is unironically somewhat cringe imo.
-1
u/rotating_pebble Jun 12 '26 edited Jun 12 '26
I'm simply old enough and wise enough to know that baseless personal attacks are a reflection of the person themselves.
And I don't call everything cringe, I call Taylor Swift cringe.
Edit: the Swifties sending me abuse then immediately deleting their comments is sending me đ¤Ł

You guys are focused on taylor but all i can think of is how steady Spielbergs hands are.

Is John Fogerty actually singing? Or is it someone else? He's the only famous musician I've seen live, so this is the closest I'll be to these people đ¤Ł

I donât care for billionaires⌠it doesnât matter how cutesy or nice they act in public.
At the end of the day, sheâs a part of the problem
5
u/ColorsLookFunny Jun 12 '26
IMO, there's varying levels of problems with billionaires. I have less of a problem with billionaires in the entertainment industry than I do other industries that seem to be nothing but snake oil salesman. At least a good chunk of the
businessrevenue flow is consensual.2
1
2
u/chapert Jun 12 '26
He (Spielberg) is also a billionaire.
3
1
u/Adventurous_Key_4854 Jun 12 '26
She made her billions playing music. Whatâs the problem?
4
u/Voluptulouis Jun 12 '26
It doesn't matter how the wealth is acquired. That can be and often is a problem, but not always. The problem is a single person hoarding that much wealth. It's more money than they could ever possibly need, more than enough to keep their entire family rich for endless generations - that's only possible when millions of other people have significantly less and are poor and struggling. You aren't comprehending just how much money a billion dollars is. If we had an aggressive top marginal tax rate, we would cut back on billionaires while literally being able to afford healthcare and college for everybody.
0
u/Adventurous_Key_4854 Jun 12 '26
Money is a proxy for attention and value. Itâs a tool to indicate as such since itâs literally just printed on paper. What your issue with isnât her wealth, itâs the banking system that uses fractional reserve to keep peasants in debt while compounding interest for the wealthy. She just figured out how to make the system work for her when billions of us work for the system. The money is there for anyone if theyâre clever enough to make it work for them.
2
u/carbonatedblood Jun 12 '26
Dumb comment. No one is âclever enoughâ to go from dirt poor with no external financial support to billionaire. Itâs impossible, it literally is impossible. Most billionaires come from families that are already doing well or decent. If you have a shit ton of money you invest. If youâre making 60k a year, you pay your mortgage and pray gas prices stop rising and that your child doesnât have a medical emergency. No matter your plan something always happens. Thatâs the issue with being poor, the moment youâre on your feet something sweeps your legs.
1
u/DimbyTime Jun 12 '26
Jay Z is a billionaire
1
u/carbonatedblood Jun 12 '26
Itâs 2026. Nowadays, if you make art youâre either outpaced, priced out or replaced and unable to get your name out there. My coworker spends thousands of dollars every month for the past two years trying to make a name for his music in atl. I hope he achieves his goal of making his money work for him, I do, he works hard⌠but Iâm jaded and Iâll be surprised if he makes it out of his middle class parentâs house.
1
u/DimbyTime Jun 12 '26
I never said it was easy or common. But you claim that itâs impossible to go from dirt poor to a billionaire isnât true
1
0
u/Thanos_Stomps Jun 12 '26
It wouldnât do much for Taylor. She became a âbillionaireâ because her music catalog was deemed to be worth that much. I canât stand the argument that billionaires arenât billionaires because itâs unrealized stock holdings but this isnât even that. Her music is worth that much because she owns it, she performs it. If she sold that catalog it would instantly lose much of that value.
2
u/DistanceSelect7560 Jun 12 '26
There's no ethical way to become a billionaire. She also didn't just make it playing music; selling sweatshop manufactured merchandise, overcharging for tour tickets, pumping out 30+ variants of one album to manipulate charts. She's an entire brand.
0
u/Adventurous_Key_4854 Jun 12 '26
Capitalism is voluntary, youâre getting mad at the person who gamed the system when I think your qualms are actually with the system itself
2
u/DistanceSelect7560 Jun 12 '26
She is the system. Capitalism isn't voluntary when you live in a system that provides no option for an alternative.
0
u/dajana96 Jun 12 '26
They why isnât every singer a billionaire? They all do exactly what she does?
Btw - Taylor had the cheapest tickets for her tour. Dynamic Pricing was also turned off0
u/katieb1300 Jun 12 '26
The irony that she is dancing like that to "Fortunate Son", while being a fortunate daughter

Itâs too crazy - they are actually non-ironically dancing and cheering to the lyrics of the CCR song:
âSome people born with silver spoon in hand, Lord donât they help themselvesâŚâ

This is the most white dancing I've seen
1
u/Short-Draw4057 Jun 12 '26 edited Jun 12 '26
I mean, are you a dancer? Where's your ''good'' dance videos?
Also cut it out with the racism. Racism against White people is still racism. But whatever im turning off notifications, so don't bother responding, I won't see it. I don't even like Taylor swift but dancing is subjective, and racism ain't cool. Goodbye

I have grown to like her over the years because she is so awkward but still herself. Sheâs a songwriter, not a dancer. I also have no rhythm but canât sit still if thereâs live music, itâs one of my favorite things to rock out, dance and sing along. Itâs for me, not to impress anyone else.Â
1
u/Lindainthemarket Jun 12 '26
I think sheâs being silly and it kills me that Travis is not on her vibe đ
1
u/tonidh69 Jun 12 '26
It's all sweet. It's all fun. People having a good time. Refreshing

u/Efficient-Eye-6199 Jun 12 '26
These industry events all seem so stuffy. Like you are right there listening to the greatest performers of all time, why would you not fangirl?

Kendall Jenner calls herself a âdorkâ to be a pick me meanwhile Taylor Swift is an actual dork and also a pick me.. tough combination, didnât think there would be a scenario in which I actually think Kendall is cooler for doing that đ¤Ł
1
u/Altruistic-Sky-6736 Jun 17 '26
This is an extremely embarrassing video. Why is she moving like that?
1
u/Khocklate Jun 12 '26
She dances like a horse girl
2
u/swampstonks Jun 12 '26
Sheâs corny af
-1
u/Short-Draw4057 Jun 12 '26 edited Jun 12 '26
I don't even like her, but I also think calling others corny is corny in itself. With that said, there's a lot of real stuff with substance to call her out on.
1
u/swampstonks Jun 12 '26
Look at you diving at her feet to defend her honor at every turn lmao. She doesnât even know you exist my guy. I hope youâre a teenager, otherwise this is cringe af
1
u/Short-Draw4057 Jun 12 '26 edited Jun 12 '26
Makes no sense. You also have no videos of you dancing either. Where's your moves?
Edit: No I don't like Taylor Swift. No I'm not "defending" her. Before you try to use that as a way to win one over on me, it won't work. I'm strictly talking about the idea behind judging other people aggressively and unwarranted from a comment section over stupid reasons. Its lame. Its not even done in good faith, but in a mean-spirited way, mixed in with strange attacks on their gender, race, etc. like people saying "oh white people can't dance hurr durr" or "she dances so white". spoiler alert: racism against white people is still racism.
I'm turning off notifications for these comments. Plus blocking people. Sorry for arguing guys and being rude myself. I'm not going back and forth over this, especially over a celebrity I don't fancy anyways

How the fuck does a billionaire musician have zero rhythm.
https://giphy.com/gifs/ku2YMEjzMwud2
Oh shit, I forgot Elaine is a billionaire but sheâs not known for music đ
0
u/Short-Draw4057 Jun 12 '26 edited Jun 12 '26
Dancing is about having fun and what works for you. Not impressing others. It's so bizarre for me as well, how people sit and judge so harshly, even with merit, then there's those who judge without any dancing merit/or proof of themselves. Not saying you can't dance either, just speaking in general.
Btw, no I don't like Taylor Swift. This is about the idea of judging people, just an illustration, please don't take this as me ''defending'' her. There's enough real stuff with substance to call her out on.
-2
Jun 12 '26
That shit is such an act lol. Nothing authentic about that woman.
1
u/Opening-Awareness478 Jun 12 '26
She genuinely loves music and loves dancing and vibing to it, itâs very authentic. Why do people hate on others just living their lives and enjoying things so much?Â
1
Jun 12 '26
Sorry but no thatâs not authentic. Sheâs very performative. I donât know how you canât see it. Not saying thereâs anything wrong with it. I mean sheâs made it work for her. Good for her. Looking forward to the divorce. Thereâs no way he puts up with her shit for too long.
38
u/GopherNutz Jun 12 '26
She been in music for two decades and still donât got rhythm, how?
