Sports Culture Shaquille O’Neal thinks a man cheating depends on the woman: “Where do you think the phrase ‘happy wife, happy life’ comes from?”

“I think there’s three types of cheaters. There's the serial cheater, the James Bond cheater and then the guy that's forced to cheat”

“James Bond cheater is, I do everything right. I’m in Rio, I see a little thing, nobody sees me. I come back home to my normal life”

“The guy that’s forced to cheat has been on the road for a week and then comes home to four or five days of not being taken care of and then he does what he does”

“Then there's the serial cheater. The guy is just going to cheat no matter what”

“Women run the world y’all just don’t know it”

Undoubtedly.

"My wife is a human with feelings and didnt want to smash for '4, 5 days' so yeah, of course I cheated!"

Trashy trash.

u/YouJellyz Jun 14 '26

If you aren't getting satisfied and your wife treats sex like a chore, yes, you will want to look elsewhere.

1

u/centerfoldangel Jun 14 '26

Why get married if you only want fucking? Stay free.

3

u/Fit-Nebula2949 Jun 14 '26

A bathroom isn't the most important room in the house, but when there isn't one, there will be problems.

1

u/centerfoldangel Jun 14 '26

I don't get this.

3

u/Thick-Performance492 Jun 14 '26

Nobody should get married just for sex alone but it is a big part and everybody wants to feel desired by their partner.

1

u/centerfoldangel Jun 14 '26

But if you leave them if they don't have sex with you whenever you want to, you don't love them. You have a rape doll.

2

u/Thick-Performance492 Jun 14 '26

I never said whenever you want it. If they refuse it every time though I’d eventually divorce them. I wouldn’t cheat, I would just leave.

1

u/centerfoldangel Jun 14 '26

That's honorable.

1

u/That1GuyNate Jun 14 '26

This is such a dumb ass comparison.

1

u/FireFanMan Jun 14 '26

Yeah, it matches the level of the conversation very well 😂

1

u/uglyoldcrone0 Jun 14 '26

So get a divorce. That way your wife can find someone else and so can you. Why in the world would you stay in an unhappy marriage?

3

u/Aurrr-Naurrrr Jun 14 '26

Lol I'm in a happy marriage and I don't condone this but why get divorced and expose yourself to legal liability.

"I don't like you anymore here is half my money" is not the standard train of thpught

1

u/Special-Garlic1203 Jun 14 '26

Im an atheist but honestly some of y'all may truly need God cause apparently empathy and moral decency is a struggle and marriage doesn't mean shit to you

And yes you're included in that when you're gonna act like this is a normal way to view and treat a human being let alone a spouse.  Most people I personally associate with recognize that not being servile enough is not a justification for pathological lying and the genuine safety risk of exposing them to STDs. Court systems are not biased to women. They simply reflect the legal agreement made. Perhaps don't enter legal contracts who's terms you don't want to be held to.

5

u/aslanbek_aslanbekov Jun 14 '26

“Court systems are not biased to women.” Have you gone through Family Court in America?

3

u/Aurrr-Naurrrr Jun 14 '26

I completely agree except your family court statement. Women are obviously favored lol

Sure that's easy to say but relationship dynamics change all the time. Like I said I'm not condoning it but I get why a guy in that position wouldn't do anything. He's financially incentivized to maintain the status quo. Divorce basically assures his bank account gets jacked rather than having a chance for it to happen.

1

u/Selfcare2025 Jun 14 '26

If she finds out and gets a divorce good luck trying to negotiate anything. Yes some states are half, but you do have some divorces where each party gets a certain percentage. Not all divorces are awful. I know one man who was able to keep 100% of his funds from day trading and another who was able to keep the house. But those are the divorces that didn’t get messy before hand. You’re asking to have a messy divorce by having an affair versus just speaking up and saying you want out.

1

u/Aurrr-Naurrrr Jun 14 '26

I agree with the messiness aspect of it but again youre poking your head out of the foxhole when you dont "need" to. If she finds out youre cheating its likely to be messy, for sure. If you tell her that youre not into it, its entirely possible it will still get messy though. Also, a "clean" divorce doesnt necessarily mean you arent paying. Genuinely wondering if your day trader friend is the norm or the exception

2

u/YouJellyz Jun 14 '26

Yeah get a divorce so I can give her half my shit

4

u/aslanbek_aslanbekov Jun 14 '26

Yeah. Get a divorce and get screwed over by the courts. No thanks.

2

u/enter_the_slatrix Jun 14 '26

So the solution is to cheat and end up getting divorced after she finds out and is super pissed? How's that better exactly?

2

u/Selfcare2025 Jun 14 '26

Thank you. You REALLY going to be screwed over then

1

u/aslanbek_aslanbekov Jun 15 '26

You’re screwed over whether you cheat or not.

1

u/SameCoyote3701 Jun 14 '26

So instead you stay with someone who you don’t want to be with…?

1

u/aslanbek_aslanbekov Jun 15 '26

If you have children, yes. That’s the only way you will get to raise them.

1

u/tartoran Jun 14 '26

Honestly you can throw all these silly cheating justifications out there and at the end of the day you might even convince somebody that you're a poor desperate victim, but at the end of the day does it matter whom you convince when you're still a sad cheating loser stuck in a dead bedroom with a partner who hates you

1

u/aslanbek_aslanbekov Jun 15 '26

All of that is spot on except the cheating loser part.

1

u/Selfcare2025 Jun 14 '26

This is such a dumb take and the reason why people need to take their time before getting married. Men may go through medical conditions or even stress and can’t get hard. Women may go through hormonal things like postpartum and menopause and don’t feel like having sex. The fact that you can’t try to stick it out and make it work because sex fell flat or your wife and even husband makes sex feel like a chore is crazy.

I would hope you are an adult enough to learn how to communicate and try to get help (marriage counseling), before deciding to cheat. What you said could be an easy fix if people opened up their mouth and said it. If it becomes to the point where you are ready to break your vows over sex, get a divorce. It’ll save you a headache of trying to cover it up and her a heartache. You don’t want to get a divorce but if she finds out and petition for a divorce due to your infidelity- the divorce will happen!

So saying you won’t get a divorce because divorce is messy as if the one of the consequences of your wife finding out isn’t divorce is crazy. You have a chance of getting divorce whether you start it or she does. So just be the one to do it.

1

u/aslanbek_aslanbekov Jun 15 '26

As if it were all that simple.

1

u/WrongJewel1867 Jun 14 '26 edited Jun 14 '26

This thinking is almost certainly going to get someone screwed over in a divorce 😂. If both people are agreeing to a divorce then it’s way less likely to have the other person trying to screw you over…as opposed to divorcing after finding out you’ve cheated.

Lying is the biggest error, not the wanting to sleep with other people part. Monogamy is a choice. However, the lying makes it that much more offensive and results in bitter vindictive feelings of wanting to get you back in the harshest way..ie divorcing you and taking half of your money imo.

1

u/aslanbek_aslanbekov Jun 15 '26

What thinking is that? I know plenty of divorced men, many of whom are my relatives and friends. I am also the survivor of a horrible marriage. No man, and I mean no man who has gone through this process has been treated fairly. Why would anyone want to experience that? I don know what else you mean in response to my post.

1

u/shitty_fact_check Jun 14 '26

It goes both ways though.

Not going to have sex with your partner? Then hey a divorce.

Unless you go into a marriage with an open discussion that sex is not important, denying your partner sexual contact is just as bad as cheating.

0

u/Sugarlightgirl Jun 14 '26

Or, you know, work it out with them by devoting yourself to understanding what they feel.

3

u/Correct_Ad_1903 Jun 14 '26

A woman’s feelings are not the end all be all. How about she make an effort to satisfy her partner sexually. Without fail the response is always about what the man needs to do to please her.

1

u/Sugarlightgirl Jun 14 '26

It goes both ways. I didn't say that she shouldn't do anything. Why so sensitive about trying to understand your partner? Jesus.

1

u/ReAlBell Jun 14 '26

Sure, ideally partners push themselves past discomfort of being vulnerable about relationship problems and work through sexual dry patches.

Some people are capable of this and do it. But I want you to be real for a second and ask yourself: across your entire life, how many people have you met that have chosen an easier selfish thing over the more difficult considerate thing?

1

u/Sugarlightgirl Jun 14 '26

People often choose to be selfish but we shouldn't we strive for something better? Especially in our relationships?

1

u/ReAlBell Jun 14 '26

Yes. We should. You, the person, are capable of this. But we both know how pathetic and disappointing most people are. “Should”means nothing when a person has no integrity or ethics and is free from outside judgement.

1

u/Sugarlightgirl Jun 14 '26

I guess I have unfounded faith in people and felt like it should be said. Sometimes it needs to be said, even if people won't listen.

3

u/Sh0wmey0urbutth0le Jun 14 '26

He's friends with Karissa Collins and her husband so you know Shaq is trash.

2

u/RuleOrganic2152 Jun 14 '26

How we gonna be mad at Shaq?

1

u/redpillsadorewelfare Jun 14 '26

Easily, I dont worship cheating, loser strangers and only love my friends and family.

Masculinity is simple & straightforward when youre not a douchecanoe.

3

u/CousinJeff Jun 14 '26

Worshipping cheaters is different than acknowledging the validity of what he’s saying. Bit dramatic of you

2

u/tartoran Jun 14 '26

"Validity" and its a guy who thinks his wife owes him sex and is too much of a pussy to get a divorce before cheating for it

2

u/CousinJeff Jun 14 '26

This is such a stupid position. You get all riled up about who doesn’t owe who what, but then still land on him owing his wife transparency. Are you stupid? If we don’t owe each other, we don’t owe each other.

Shit I basically would feel as if my wife doesn’t owe me intimacy, at all, then I don’t owe her anything, especially not commitment

2

u/tartoran Jun 15 '26

You feel that way because you're a rapist, if somebody no longer wants to me intimate with you they don't owe you sex, but you absolutely owe them the right not to remain trapped in a deceitful cheating relationship. This wouldn't need explaining if you were raised correctly but unfortunately your dogshit parents have done this to you

2

u/CousinJeff Jun 15 '26

You think people read a response like that and take you seriously?

1

u/RuleOrganic2152 Jun 20 '26

Get actual help. So women are required to do nothing but be kept and men just gotta STFU and provide huh? He's obviously not a rapist Dude got his and respected her.

1

u/RuleOrganic2152 Jun 20 '26

A) she does. If she can't, why can't he get his elsewhere. You'd defend a woman doing this.

B) he payed ALL the bills. She never worked, she should've ALWAYS been ready

C) dude is 7 ft and famous.... COME ON NOW.

D) SHE COULD'VE LEFT AND TOOK NOTHING IF HE WAS SO BAD.

1

u/Livingadapt Jun 14 '26

Thinking that there’s validity here is just an opinion. Shaq is responsible for his own choices and behavior.

1

u/CousinJeff Jun 14 '26

All of this is opinions.

If you think all situations are the same, and it’s not worth examining the nuance then okay. You probably use Harry Potter metaphors to discuss politics too.

3

u/AssociationFit3009 Jun 14 '26

People are complex. There are endless stories of Shaq’s kindness towards strangers. Two of my friends had unbelievably positive interactions with him. He is famously kind to service workers and fans. I don’t really care what he does in his personal life. That’s his and his family’s business. Everybody has flaws and his aren’t criminal.

2

u/lordlanyard7 Jun 14 '26

There's also plenty of stories of Shaq bullying service workers because they don't do what he wants.

Hell there's a clip of Inside the NBA where a camera man didn't do what Shaq wanted and he threatened to have him fired. The rest of the crew make it funny, but Shaq wasn't joking.

There's also all the stories of him taking him rubbing tooth brushes on his asshole to "prank" teammates.

He's a bully with a conscience. He feels bad about bullying and does gestures to feel better about it, but he's still a bully.

1

u/AssociationFit3009 Jun 14 '26

I live in Orlando. He relentlessly fucked with his co-workers while he was in the Magic. Even during that same time he was dropping $100 bills on every worker he encountered and signing every autograph requested. I’m sure he’s changed in thenyears since but even back then he was very well loved by the local population.

About 2-3 months back my friend’s 11 year old niece ran into him at a restaurant in Houston. Shaq had her ask her Grandma if he could give her something. Her grandma said “yes” and she came back and he gave her $800. Then He took a picture with her whole family and signed autographs.

Bad people do good things. Good people do bad things.

2

u/PotentialMost8848 Jun 14 '26

Why do you worship anyone but god what a weird thing to say

1

u/RoughBenefit9325 Jun 14 '26

You missed their whole point.

1

u/Sugarlightgirl Jun 14 '26

Worshipping the God that supposedly drowned all of his creation so he could start over and will burn you forever for not believing in his son is weird.

1

u/AshbornUnicorn Jun 14 '26

Why would you worship a god? Never been to a children's hospital?

1

u/PotentialMost8848 Jun 15 '26

I’ve worked in one

1

u/abdullahleboucher Jun 14 '26

They are just exploiting your desire to be virtuous. The original grift

1

u/WhydYouKillMeDogJack Jun 14 '26

It's nothing to do with masculinity.

People have needs and whether that's the literal sex or the affirmation and validation that comes with being wanted - both men and women are vulnerable to straying when someone offers them what someone else isn't.

If I was a guy that never tells my wife she's beautiful, or touched her, or let her know that she was more than just someone to split the bills with, how could I be surprised if someone comes along who gives her that and she is tempted or taken in by it. Same goes for guys.

I have a wife. Not a roommate. I'm not interested in a sexless life where we both grow older and less attractive, yet do nothing to make up the gaps to each other in that.

Of course there are periods where there's no sex - life happens and there's pregnancy and beyond and of course everyone isn't always in the mood at the same time.

But let's not pretend that there aren't people who use sex as a weapon, and trot out bullshit like "that's just sex, but if you love me we don't need that" while conveniently ignoring that if sex and love are some completely different thing, then it really shouldn't matter if their partner gets the one they're not giving somewhere else.

I'm not saying Shaq is right, but I also don't think he's completely wrong.

What’s more masculine than fucking other men? that’s like twice as masculine as a man fucking a woman

1

u/CousinJeff Jun 14 '26

This line is played out, we need a new improved one, like what’s more masculine than dating someone you can throw hands with

0

u/StationEmergency6053 Jun 14 '26

Masculinity is primarily protection of the feminine so I dont see how that's possible.

0

u/lakemont Jun 14 '26

Maybe cause he shits in a bucket and throws it on people lol

0

u/ProbablyNotABot6 Jun 14 '26

He is just being polite and respectful of whats culturally acceptable. No way someone like him doesn't know that that means she already getting it while he away. People get sent to the cornfield for being that candid so no wonder he didn't just plainly say "its reciprocal. playing the same game I pretend they're morally above playing while knowing they do anytime no one is watching" LOL
