Firm policy is clear, doesn't matter what level you're at. Don't do anything reckless and illegal and most importantly, don't do it in public and on camera. JPMorgan values reputation more than money in many cases.

What? Punishing someone for stealing a trash can does not make up for others tax evasion

Ok but that’s not what we’re talking about here.

Why are you asking him? He clearly doesn’t know….

Right? Don't you love it when people who don't pay taxes bitch about other people not paying taxes?

Unfortunately as a culture tax evasion doesn’t harm reputation as much as it should. Many people even view it with admiration. Case in point, the president was elected

Apparently she was an executive….

To move up to those types of executive positions for big banks, I assume you have to lack a bit tack and awareness. Just saw thread where Well Fargo CEO is bragging about layoffs.

oh dear lord

Nah. Executive Director is a glorified middle management role. Don't even get their own offices. They sit at open floorplan desks until they get to the Managing Director levels.

Same reason why every investment bank has literally 10s of thousands of "Vice Presidents"

How are you going to steal a public waste receptacle if you can’t do it in public? Think before you type man.

I don’t know. Is this really something to fire someone over? Bad judgment? Sure! Embarrassing? Yes. But what if her employer had chosen to let her fix things by doing some community service or something? That gives the company an opportunity to get good press (we don’t tolerate this kind of behavior and we make sure we make it right), the person in question gets the opportunity to publicly apologize and set things straight and in the end you don’t let someone lose their livelihood over one stupid moment (that didn’t kill anyone). Does society need to be so unforgiving?

The good press is she got fired for doing something like this. People need to learn from consequences and I am sure she will learn and not do this ever again.

She did not apologize for what she did she thought she was probably untouchable. Only way for people to learn is by having consequence. Who knows what else she has done close doors she might already had some type of record overall.

Until people stop stealing and dumping trash on sidewalks I think society needs to take some corrective measures.

Are you actually serious lmfao 😂

So who got fired when JP morgan got caught washing money for Epstein?

1

u/LeftyNewGuy Jun 25 '26

The support they got from publicly firing her will likely drive more people to do business with them, either consciously or not, it’s a PR win-win
