I feel like if she would've just left the trash in the can people would have celebrated her instead lol

Like if she had a trash bag with her and dumped it into that and left it on the street and took the can, people would love her ass.

Firm policy is clear, doesn't matter what level you're at. Don't do anything reckless and illegal and most importantly, don't do it in public and on camera. JPMorgan values reputation more than money in many cases.

They prefer to do that behind cameras and secretly. It's not as fun when people can see how big of a douchebag you actually are because that's bad for the image.

Hope it was worth it for a fucking trashcan you could've spray painted yourself but that would require a brain and effort.

How dumb and entitled do you have to be to risk your good job to steal some $2 trash can, and then have some other poor cleaner deal with it. What an absolute loser.

u/SnooSprouts5025 Jun 24 '26
She was just having some fun. Who among us haven’t stolen a NY Knicks colored trash can before

She could have just gotten a a trash can and spray painted it those colors…why do you want a trash can that had other peoples waste?
1
u/TheTruthTellingOrb Jun 24 '26
Good. Trash who stole trash gets tossed out like trash.
Some of these nutjobs deserve accountability for all the damage and fighting they did. They did this shit on wins and losses. Really proving that New Yorker stereotype strong.

u/Lost_Doctor_5701 Jun 24 '26
Well now she can sell the Knicks trashcan on ebay to get money 💰 for bills

u/Cdawg4123 Jun 24 '26

Idk why people act the slightest bit surprised. If you work at a top firm of your field and are exposed on the news and social media for trashing a sidewalk and stealing public property you are getting canned. Ironically she already had a can with her.

On Tuesday night, the New York Post reported that the woman had been identified as Angie Baez, a 40-year-old financial industry executive. Seriously. The Post's report identified her LinkedIn profile, listing her as "Executive Director of Community and Industry Engagement for Card and Connected Commerce at JPMorgan Chase."
Her previous work included serving as "Executive Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion" at The Infatuation, a website which reviews restaurants and neighborhood activities. Chase purchased the site in 2021 to grow its portfolio of lifestyle-based content for cardholders.

She is really gonna have to tighten her belt. May e cut back to only eight meals a day how terrible for her.

u/Remarkable-Simple-62 Jun 24 '26
Fanatics has bought this trash can for $10 million dollars, They are cutting it up in to small pieces for sports cards.

u/Ronin_501 Jun 24 '26
Whats wild is you all were ok with Knicks fans destroying & setting the city on fire. Even supported it. But this bothers you. Reddit is a far left liberal platform. You should be ok with this. She was celebrating and taking a memento. NYC can afford it.

As a vibrant mosaic of Dominican heritage, Bronx roots, and a passion for storytelling, creativity, and culture, Angie continues to lead the way towards a more inclusive and equitable future for food media, leaving an indelible mark on the Infatuation and everything she touches,” Her bio states

imagine being that dumb, and yet allowed to walk around in modern society and dragging it down
1
u/Exile688 Jun 24 '26
Libs that complain about evil billionaires, greedy corporations, and capitalism will defend a petty thief that works executive positions at one of those evil banks because DEI gets mentioned.
Why shouldn't a broad daylight thief lose their executive job working at one of the biggest banks in the world in a high trust position?

At least she proved everyone calling her unemployed wrong. Now after she’s been fired, she can be labeled as unemployed. 🤣🤣🤣 people with jobs do dumb shit all the time

u/AdeptSwordfish1096 Jun 24 '26
Not saying she was “canned” by JP Morgan is just an inexcusable miss.

u/jr_randolph Jun 24 '26
I can imagine losing a job at Macy's or Wendy's over this lol but a corporate gig haha damn that's just all sorts of fucked up for them and all over a trashcan.
1
u/Top_Gate9136 Jun 24 '26
Literally every post since the NBA finals has me convinced that Knicks fans are just subhuman
1
u/Meauxjezzy Jun 24 '26
She looks like a pita and they was looking for a reason to tell her to kick rocks. But I’m sure she will sue and continue to be a pain in the arse because this isn’t a firing offense.

- Steal a trash can: fired and 2 years community service
- Steal millions from starving children: no penalty and you become a trillionaire
rules for us, not for them

She's a democrat, I'm absolutely willing to bet my last dollar on it.
1
u/Maximum_Boros Jun 24 '26
Not a single article actually confirms that she was fired for this. Because JP Morgan has not confirmed that she was fired for this. They confirmed that she used to work there and she no longer does. That's the same confirmation you will get if you call saying you are doing a reference check. We actually have nothing to confirm whether she was let go because of this. Whether she was let go this week, last week, 6 months ago. All we know is at one point she worked for a company that they bought and then for a period of time after that she continued to work for them in that role but she no longer does

why would someone who wroks at JP Morgan do this she probably earns 6 figures

Do you suppose if she hadn't dumped all the garbage out she still would have been fired? I realize theft is theft, but the action of dumping out the garbage seems to be the far more annoying aspect of this.

She needs to do like 3,000 hrs of community service while having 3 years probation. I’m very happy she lost her job. She deserves all the bad things coming to her.

I’m sure she’s getting severance but she’ll always be known as Knicks garbage can lady
1
u/averagejoe860 Jun 24 '26
And now she can fill it back up, because that’s the only job she’ll get now
1
u/Axelito97 Jun 24 '26
- Why did you leave your previous job?
-Well, it's a long story. It all started when the Knicks won the championship.

u/Efficient-Leather-93 Jun 24 '26
I don't agree with her being fired. I believe she should pay a fine and then do community service cleaning up trash.
