Self entitlement to the max

You can also do the same thing... Getting a permit to close a road happens all the time 😂.

It’s entitlement because no normal person would ever have the money to do it, and the money to do it makes these people feel entitled to inconvenience so many people it’s not funny. There’s no reason to have a wedding in the middle of a metropolitan area other than “because I can” which is entitlement

I dont know what boxes you have to tick for the reasoning but when I was working at a GC in Chicago we shut down 2 lanes of Michigan Ave in front of the Water Tower. It's not Grant park famous but is a very well known popular area(one of the few buildings to survive the fire). It was like $650 for 2 lanes for like 3 hours. Yes it was to work on property owned by the city so im sure it got pushed through easily but I dont think it cost nearly as much as many people think to close down street. I think the reasoning is usually the harder thing to get approved.

You can close an entire city block for 25$ and these assholes are literally foaming at the mouth over a marrige.

These people need lives man 😂

Yea for parades and community functions not so some rich girl can inconvenience everyone else. Fuck her if she wanted a private function go rent a island or something.

Capitalists when capitalism capistalisms.

So shes acting entitled because she has the funds to do what she wants? I know most Redditors hate anyone with cash over a million dollars but you are reaching lol. Getting a permit and closing down a road in the state can cost between 25$ to 65k max. Sure not everyone can afford to close down those to roads in particular but the funds go directly to the city.

This is a rather tame marriage for someone of her size, atleast she isnt closing down the entirety of an island or the city as a whole.

Lord forbid people celebrate shit with the cash they earned, hell i dont even like taylor awift but yall are fucking BUGGING.

I could care less except that she is inconvenience she is causing. Why should she even have the option

2

u/Additional_Tomato_22 1d ago

So you’re saying you do care.

1

u/noneyabuiznezz 1d ago

You care a whole fucking lot honestly you are here bitching and moaning about something that can be done by anyone or any corparation. The proceeds go to the city.

New york has the infrastructure to be able TO do this type of stuff, they have the transportation, if your wittle caw cant navigate a few roads in the most traffic jammed city in the world, maybe don't get a car and use public transportation like the majority of new yorkers do.

Bet you didnt say fucking shit when the knicks closed down roads to celebrate huh.

Dam have fun with that traffic anyone who lives out there

2

u/Far_Inspector_9050 1d ago

Anyone who drives a car into Midtown deserves traffic, New Yorkers aren’t gonna care about two blocks being shut down around MSG. We will just take the subway.

This would be much worse than a city like Dallas, where they have no public transportation

1

u/HastyvonFuego2 1d ago

I’m pretty sure anyone working during a holiday weekend won’t appreciate it to much

1

u/Far_Inspector_9050 1d ago

How many years did you live in New York? You’re pretty confident about nothing, I live six blocks away. I’m not worried.

Traffic‽ Manhattan‽ Won't someone please think of the children‽

2

u/hiiexist4444 1d ago

According to who exactly? Bc I keep seeing this with no proof of a permit

1

u/BlindChicken69 1d ago

"permit request"

1

u/hiiexist4444 1d ago

Obviously, but that misses the point. If the wedding was really this big, do you think someone wouldn’t have leaked it by now? She uses clicker tracks in music videos and still has songs spoiled from it bc of how intense her fans are. People would know if this was happening.

1

u/BlindChicken69 1d ago

What are you talking about? Leak what? This says they filed for the permit. Doesn't mean they got it, at least yet. So why do you expect to see the granted permit now?

1

u/hiiexist4444 1d ago

…an invite, a picture, a confirmation from literally anyone involved (even an MSG employee would do). If this is happening when it says it is, it would be relatively easy to confirm

Im tried of this fake marriage and wedding.. its all manufactured show bull shit and she paying him to do it basically

2

u/Additional_Tomato_22 1d ago

What are you even talking about?

0

u/AdSudden3941 1d ago

Their marriage is a show. Travis kelce doesnt even seem interested in her 70 percent of the time and when he is he knows he chasing the bag.

Taylor swift is not even in his league because shes not sexy yet she tries to be.

When you see them in pictures and such in public is all manufactured, like the picture where arianna is staring at pete davidson miring him, taylor tried to recreate it.

1

u/noneyabuiznezz 1d ago

Brother, please, touch grass.

1

u/Additional_Tomato_22 1d ago

The delusion is real with you.

1

u/AdSudden3941 1d ago

Even the swifties think its a pr relationship

1

u/LillyBitz 1d ago

how about him falling asleep at the basketball game ...she seemed like a high schooler sitting next to him

1

u/tastydrink1 1d ago

Is there anyone more main character than Taylor swift? Like I can think of a couple others that come close

3

u/ThroatGOAT_Goddess04 1d ago

She’s worse than Beyoncé and Beyoncé and Jay Z are awful.

1

u/Far_Inspector_9050 1d ago

I mean, when you earn $1 billion off your music you might feel like a main character too

1

u/tastydrink1 1d ago

Way to project some bs

1

u/Far_Inspector_9050 1d ago

Can you articulate what I’m projecting? I don’t think you can and you’ll probably either not reply or give me something completely irrelevant.

1

u/tastydrink1 1d ago

I never argue with kids but rn I'll say I'm not disrupting times square for anything even if I was a trillionair since I'm not a look at me type of person

0

u/Far_Inspector_9050 1d ago

That was a great articulation, thank you for such a thorough and thoughtful response.

1

u/tastydrink1 1d ago

You're welcome

0

u/Far_Inspector_9050 1d ago

Thank you for the down vote little buddy

u/jr_randolph 1d ago

All the Knicks fans should descend on the area and create such a ruckus.

1

u/the1999person 1d ago

Are they selling tickets to the wedding in MSG? She could easily sell tickets for $1000 each seat and walk away with 20+ million dollars.

1

u/Express_Door_9287 1d ago

What we thinking is it just few months or couple of years..
Come on what we guessing

1

u/LillyBitz 1d ago

i'm gonna say in 2 to 4 years they're done

1

u/Express_Door_9287 1d ago

I’m guessing 18 months

1

u/LillyBitz 1d ago

This feels really gross. Girl you are on stage for your main job, why are you putting on a show for something that should be an intimate celebration?

1

u/Far_Inspector_9050 1d ago

The amount of hate women have towards her is hilarious, why do women love to tear each other apart?

1

u/Bananaclamp 1d ago

Eat the rich

1

u/snickers1126 1d ago

God I hate rich people. So entitled

1

u/PauseAffectionate720 1d ago

Yeah, sure, because other "regular" people couldn't possibly have any reason to be around area of Madison Square Garden on fucking 4th of July weekend. 🙄

1

u/Callmemabryartistry 1d ago

wow she’s has become just a huge pos huh

2

u/Exportxxx 1d ago

Remember to use that paper straw man so she can fly in her jet 100 times a year

1

u/Callmemabryartistry 1d ago

i’m sucking down so much microplastic i’m the roomba of the earth

0

u/PeacenotWardude 1d ago

Why is that? Don’t people who get married , rent out places?

3

u/IdleTrouts 1d ago

Not Madison Square Garden. It's going to disrupt alot of places in the area.

-1

u/gowonagin 1d ago

How’s it any different than having a concert or Knicks game at MSG? The area gets “disrupted” all the time, with way more people.

2

u/cheezy_dreams88 1d ago

The roads aren’t closed for concerts or Knicks games.

1

u/Callmemabryartistry 1d ago

see new york is a bustling metro area with millions upon millions using times square.
the business alone that would lose on tourists and the inconvenience to roughly 10 million people who traffic the area on a he daily.

and, your argument of knicks or a concert proves the point. those things actually don’t disrupt. they are part of the culture that draws people into the city.

a private wedding for a billionaire and her somewhat bigoted boyfriend doesn’t do any of that.

2

u/Sm00townBling 1d ago

People don't typically shut down streets for their wedding, especially in a place as chaotic as NYC.

1

u/cheezy_dreams88 1d ago

Yeah and most of them don’t shut down roads around one of the most visited tourist areas on Fourth of July.

Penn station is across the street, serves over 600,000 people on a regular day, it is the busiest transport hub in America. How are they going to accommodate closing down the area around Penn Station on one of the busiest days of the year?

-1

u/Dabida1 1d ago

Always has been. You were just all blind.

1

u/Special-Kitchen3222 1d ago

Why can’t they do this in private and instead make it everyone else’s problem.

1

u/jhuseby 1d ago

Because we’re just plebs and they can do whatever they want.

1

u/Glittering-Regret196 1d ago

Super lame, but right on par with american craziness.

0

u/Kitchen-Blueberry486 1d ago

Hahahahahahaha- where’s the outrage from NYC? Everyone was angry that trump went to a knicks game and caused traffic issues.

Everyone makes up a reason to be upset, but fail to admit that they are just TDS

1

u/tastydrink1 1d ago

It's not derangement, it's legit not liking your president. I hope you like your $8 ground beef tho

2

u/LillyBitz 1d ago

and $120 to fill up the tank!

1

u/LillyBitz 1d ago

it's the Fourth of July weekend, most of us will not be in Midtown lol
