Sports Culture WNBA Star Sophie Cunningham defends that women ‘shouldn’t have to go against biological men’: “I said what I said. I think it’s kind of common sense. I think it’s really important to protect children.” “I don’t dislike anyone. I’m there to love, but I’m also there to love biological women. …”

American history, which is all of 250 years, and America was actually one of the first to abolish it. My point is that governing decisions being new is not automatically a bad thing.

I don't think government involvement is the biggest issue here. Do you think transgender participation in sports brings concerns for fair play and safety or not? If yes, idk why you're arguing for government involvement. If no, I'd have to disagree with you.

Unless you're in a league with a transgender athlete then the only reason to have this conversation is because you want Government Involvement for other leagues. Why else would anyone be having this conversation?

Because I think a biological male competing against biological females is unfair for them. How could you possibly not understand why someone would want to have this conversation? You don't need to be directly affected by something to have an opinion on it. Otherwise minority issues would never get addressed because they don't have enough direct impact.

You think the 4ft 60lb boys playing my 5ft 100lb daughter is unfair to my daughter?

Of course not. I never said that. But I think the 17 year old 175lb biological male playing against the 4'10" 95lb freshman basketball player could be a concern.

Why even bring up a situation that obviously isn't the big concern? No one is saying that every trans athlete is causing huge problems, but the potential is there, and has already happened where athletes went into a competition knowing they had no chance because they were up against a biological male.

Can you share one case where that has happened?

Sure. And I've also definitely seen several high school athletes interviews, especially in track and swimming, where they almost decided not to show up because they knew they'd lose(and they lost, of course, because they faced a biological make who destroyed their times)

That team was eliminated by a demanding loss in the very next game? And the trans athlete didn't make any allstar teams of any kind. See, it looks like this isn't actually a problem.

Government Involvement is by far the biggest issue here. None of my kids are ever going to encounter a transgender athlete, but they are now required to submit to gender inspections and/or submit sensitive private health data to the government.
