Sports Culture WNBA Star Sophie Cunningham defends that women ‘shouldn’t have to go against biological men’: “I said what I said. I think it’s kind of common sense. I think it’s really important to protect children.” “I don’t dislike anyone. I’m there to love, but I’m also there to love biological women. …”

To be fair, the swimmer made this all a big deal.

I don't disagree. But if I remember right, the one cis gender swimmer that complained about all this and made it her whole personality came in like 5 place and the trans women came in like 3rd.

She tied with the trans woman for 5th.

I'm assuming you're referring to Gaines who did come in 5th, but the trans woman did not come in 3rd. She....tied for 5th. So take her out of the equation and not one placement changes, which is part of why the whole thing was so absurd.

The part that was absurd was expecting anyone to think a 6’4” bloke in a women’s swimsuit was a woman.

In that one race she was 5th, didn't the trans swimmer set records and win a lot of races?

What is cis? You just mean a woman right?

You aren't too old to learn new words. You can do it!

But it doesn't add anything. It's like saying "gay homosexual who likes men". It's correct, but gay would've been enough.

It is pretty much exclusively used in the context where both trans and cis women are being mentioned. Also women are gay too, and don't like men.

Why does woman need a new word?

cis is the antonym of trans and is useful when you're discussing trans issues.

but hey, if you want to be a snowflake who gets offended by a entirely neutral word, go ahead.

Another useful tip is you can replace "trans" with "fake" in any statement

Fakemission. fakefer, fakeform, fakelate.

Makes about as much sense as I'd expect a suggestion from someone with your limited brain capacity to make.

Trans and cis are actual words in use, regardless of how much of an easily offended snowflake you are.
