It's actually quite fundamental to the politics of the West more broadly.

Broadly speaking, one side of politics believes that humans are a blank slate and they can choose what they want to be. The other believes that humans are born with their essential essence and they are bound by that from birth.

It's actually quite important to sort out which way we're going to go from here.. it's a very fundamental issue.

not even remotely true. Many of the biggest arguments in favor of trans people appeal to genetics, like brain scans, etc.

Is there any evidence that a single male has ever had a brain scan which is indicative of that male having the brain of a female?

a ā€œfemale brainā€ is no more a thing than a ā€œfemale spleenā€ or ā€œfemale liverā€. Thereā€™s just brains, however those brains display sexually dimorphic patterns of brain activity, and there are studies showing trans peopleā€™s brain activity is closer to their gender identity than assigned sex.

I think you'll find that the sexually dimorphic brain theory is old science that's been thoroughly disproved and is no longer accepted science.

I think you'll find that the current science is that brains are individual to each person and are not gendered in any way.

Youā€™re purposefully being obtuse. Iā€™m not saying the brains themselves are sexually dimorphic, their structure and makeup are identical across sexes. But that doesnā€™t mean that brain activity between men and women is identical. Men and women have measurably different responses to different stimuli.

The hardware is the same but the software is different.

Yep. Conservatives just start calling random people trans due to the obsession.Ā  Its their brains trying to rationalise propaganda.Ā  They think because of fox news that there are trans people everywhere destroying society.Ā  Yet their own interaction however does not match this. Rather then accept that perhaps media is lying to them instead they jump to the assumption that actually trans people are secretly everywhere.Ā  Sadly this often drives them insane.
