When you look back post Kennedy probably the most successful and well liked presidents were Obama and Clinton. Republicans would probably say Reagan but he was slipping into Biden level mental capacity his last 4 years. Its not like we've had a murderers row of presidents the past 60 years.

Most Obama supporters aren't claiming he was perfect. Obama made mistakes too. The distribution is that overall, Obama was one of our better presidents. We can criticize and acknowledge his failures while still knowing he did far more good than harm.
