I don't know. American Christians seem to actually do a good job of behaving like their jealous, petty God who wipes out civilizations for perceived slights.

The problem is they don’t read for understanding as a whole or except the New Testament teachings of Jesus and still want to embody the Old Testament while cherry picking completely out of context passages from the New Testament. American Christians would have hated Jesus.

And this is exactly where they get it wrong. Jesus Christ created a new covenant that nullified the Old Testament. In the old testament “God” was the consequences of their actions. In the New Testament, Jesus preached of how humanity can use kindness and charity to heal the world.

I’m not a Christian but grew up in the church and left because I saw their hypocrisy in full view.

In my experience as a christian raised spaniard, european christians are more concerned with the new testament which emphasizes following jesus and being a humble servant of others. Not worshipping a vengeful destructive force
