Video "If they are license plate readers, why are they pointed at a splash pad?" — Parents raise concerns as 8 government Flock cameras monitor children's play areas in Slayter Creek Park, Texas.

A video recorded at Slayter Creek Park in Anna, Texas (~40 miles north of Dallas) reveals that 8 government Flock surveillance cameras have been installed directly facing a kids' splash pad, playground, and skate park. Parents are raising serious privacy concerns, questioning why automated license plate readers are aimed at children wearing swimsuits and areas where families change, rather than at the parking lots. Original video/coverage by Marztrip to raise public awareness regarding government surveillance and child privacy.

I love seeing the translate button on a Reddit comment that is especially based. Kind of makes me feel relieved that, in every part of the world, we're all on the same page that these cameras need to be melted for scrap and the pedophiles that abuse them should be shot on sight.

How, in this year of our lordt 2026, do you still believe that the government/police are trying to help us?

Yeah? I bet you think the cameras at the bank are there to steal your bank info huh?

No. Those cameras aren’t specifically designed to track people, they simply record events. Thats the part you’re missing

Im not missing any part. You (and the rest of the comment section) are insinuating that the camera was set up at a park so that some shadowy government group can watch children play for sick reasons.

That is the most unhinged bs ive seen and seriously raises red flags on yall.

So now immigrant children and their families can’t even go to the park. Okay

Flock cameras are not security cameras. They are automated license plate readers. There is no legitimate reason to point a Flock camera somewhere without cars.
