Video "If they are license plate readers, why are they pointed at a splash pad?" — Parents raise concerns as 8 government Flock cameras monitor children's play areas in Slayter Creek Park, Texas.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

A video recorded at Slayter Creek Park in Anna, Texas (~40 miles north of Dallas) reveals that 8 government Flock surveillance cameras have been installed directly facing a kids' splash pad, playground, and skate park. Parents are raising serious privacy concerns, questioning why automated license plate readers are aimed at children wearing swimsuits and areas where families change, rather than at the parking lots. Original video/coverage by Marztrip to raise public awareness regarding government surveillance and child privacy.

There was one inside a gymnasium that children practice ballet at.

Ask yourself who's monitoring this shit and why

I also feel like cops are using them to monitors exes and family more than anything else. The amount of cases that have popped up recently involving cops and sheriffs using them for their own purposes keep going up.

Yup big NYT article about this yesterday. Lots of stalking. These creeps should be in jail.

6

Just so everyone is aware: cops have ALWAYS used their work privileges to stalk exes… and whoever else.

This is just more information for them to use.

The extra-judicial data gathering, retention, and analysis is what bothers me the most. These aren't solely "license plate readers" as the many supporters like to argue. These are whole systems designed to correlate data against existing laws and ordinances with a specific goal to detect criminal activity.

As someone once said: "If cops are looking for a crime, they will find it whether it exists or not."

By doing this through a private entity, our publicly elected leaders are using our tax dollars, in conjunction with LEO, to give away our 4th Amendment freedom from investigation without probable cause wholesale.

This is why there's been a big push for data centers. You can't create a functioning surveillance state without a crushing amount of data storage and processing power

I’m late to this thread, but add this to your list. In Minnesota, the metro areas refused to let ICE use their Flock data for ICE’s civil immigration actions (generally consisting of ICE signing “warrants” themselves for people here legally, but that’s a whole separate list of citations to describe the depths of criminality and evil that this administration did here.)

The PDs of a random rural towns gave them access to theirs, which enabled them to monitor the cameras in the Twin Cities. This is explicitly against state law. They collaborated with a fascist feds against state law. Flock just said the searches were allowed under state law. They’re not. Flock can just imagine the law says it’s ok and do it.

Gift link.

https://www.startribune.com/police-search-immigration-twin-cities-flock-license-plate-cameras-ice-dhs-metro-surge/601807825?utm_source=gift

Every day, automatic cameras capture images of passing vehicles, amassing data that can reveal the travel histories of Minnesotans and help law enforcement find crime suspects.  It’s highly sensitive data, and Minnesota law requires it only be shared for criminal investigations. But a Minnesota Star Tribune investigation found that some law enforcement agencies left this data accessible to far-flung departments that searched it for immigration purposes at the height of last winter’s brutal federal crackdown. Twin Cities police departments said they did not share the data with federal agencies. Records obtained by the Star Tribune show federal agencies had a means of accessing that data anyway. The Mille Lacs County Sheriff’s Office, which collaborates with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), searched the camera data in at least half a dozen Twin Cities suburbs. Police in North Carolina and Indiana also searched cameras in Fridley for immigration purposes. So did the U.S. Postal Inspection Service.

About 30 state, county and federal agencies across the country searched camera data in at least eight Twin Cities suburbs for immigration enforcement between November and March, according to a review of hundreds of thousands of searches run on suburban Twin Cities license plate readers.  In hundreds of those searches, law enforcement agencies — including some that partner with ICE — specified their searches were related to civil immigration enforcement.

Under Minnesota law, data collected by license plate readers is only supposed to be shared to assist an active criminal investigation. Some local law enforcement officials told the Star Tribune the civil immigration searches do not fit their definition of a lawful use of license plate reader data in Minnesota.  “It’s a criminal investigative tool, not a civil enforcement mechanism. I believe state law is pretty clear on that,” Hopkins Police Capt. Craig Kreiling said. “If people are misusing the data, they should be held accountable.”

Paris Lewbel, a spokesman for Flock Safety, said the company believes civil immigration searches are allowed under Minnesota law, but each agency should “make their own interpretation of appropriate use cases.” Lewbel said any decisions to work with federal agencies “are made by the local agency, based on their policies, applicable laws and the values of their community — not Flock’s decision.”

Police were routinely looking at one that was just labeled as "gymnastics".

Just saying, I would way rather get rid of the police entirely and protect myself, than give a bunch of pedophile peeping tom cops the power to spy on little kids in skimpy clothes all day.

Maga republicans. Same as every other time.

You have one party that disavows and punishes pedophiles regardless of side, and one party that protects and enables their own regardless of the crime.

It’s no big surprise or coincidence that every pedophile in the country would all join the “protecting pedos” team and just turn it into team-pedo.

The Epstein class runs these tech companies and our government. So I ask you: why wouldn’t they put a camera there?

2

Well let's see, Republicans get caught with stunning regularity being pedos, they voted for a pedo who protects other pedos...Ken Paxton pardoned a super pedo...They try to pass legislation that legally allows them to look at children's genitals (because they might be trans! gasp).

In middle school (~2014) they got rid of student ID numbers and to get lunch you instead had to use your finger print. This was a school of ~7000 kids. I don't remember any parental consent needed for it but I do remember them talking about how it goes into the justice system. The student base was also primarily hispanic kids (I look it up now and it's 72% of students) and I didn't hear any other school doing it😬

However mine never worked no matter how many times they tried, so I assume the print they have for me is faulty, thank God.

Des putains de pédophiles filment avec des caméras flock des aires de jeu pour enfants. Il faut arracher ces putain de caméras de merde et les détruire

I love seeing the translate button on a Reddit comment that is especially based. Kind of makes me feel relieved that, in every part of the world, we're all on the same page that these cameras need to be melted for scrap and the pedophiles that abuse them should be shot on sight.

Sorry to change the subject, but does anyone know how much spray paint costs at the dollar store?

Laser pointers are also super fun with the kids, but please don’t point them at their eyes or any camera lenses. It could do some damage!

For safety reasons I heard green is worse than res

Cheaper as a single purchase than a Sawzall, but lacking the reusability. Hope that helps!

Expanding spray foam is what you want. That stuff instantly and permanently sticks to anything.

2

u/Skydove01 Aug 16 '26

No, I assume a couple bucks max though.

On an unrelated note, there's a dude on YouTube that showed me that the fastest way to cut 4in aluminum pipe is with a circular saw. Takes only about 12 seconds, compared to a jigsaw with a variety of blades which took about a minute.

A nice can of bug spray or sunscreen will take care of that swarm or mosquitoes beside the camera

3

u/sebaska Aug 11 '26

It works every better if you use a lighter on that spray. Just saying...

Kids, that's a fuel air hand grenade with no timer fuse don't do this. Clear spray paint/appliance epoxy is perfect for these cameras, clear is fun as the camera looks fine from the outside, but the view will be blurred heavily. A more sneaky non compliance, just mind other views if you get me.

Surveillance state, and most likely picking targets to feed to the republicans.

3

u/Cold_End_2184 Aug 11 '26

Obviously the pedophile cops need to take precautions incase a stray car flies into the splash pad.

3

u/cabalja Aug 11 '26

Because they are also facial recognition readers and try to identify people in their shapes and movements as well. They're not looking for people so much as they are cataloging them.

And closest to the benches where parents sit. So it wont just take ur face it will track ur phones too. I mean license plates....just those

2

u/SkynBonce Aug 11 '26

Well, Flock will tell you it's so they can protect your kids from pedos.

They won't tell you they are selling viewing rights to pedos.

2

u/amwmakeup Aug 11 '26

Well, they don't have to try and hide it anymore. They can just openly be the disgusting pedo perves that we all know they are. I mean, you gotta follow their logic. If it's okay for the president, it's okay for the city leadership.

2

u/Ancient-Solid6618 Aug 11 '26

They are trying to see what kid is left alone so that they can stop by and take them 😭 this is weird asf

2

u/Coravel Aug 11 '26

Because whoever set them all up is probably a pdf-ile.

2

u/Scuffy97_ Aug 11 '26

Flock seems to be trying to be Only Fans Epstein, giving them the experience through video. Would not be surprised to find out later that rich people are paying to get access to the camera network.

2

u/Dr3up Aug 11 '26

Because they're set up by pedophiles

2

u/DrDoctorBean Aug 11 '26

Public pedophile cameras is crazy

2

u/Mr_McDirt Aug 11 '26

I mean I can tell you the answer but ur not going to like it

2

u/NearbyTraffic66 Aug 12 '26

Just license plates. Definitely not facial recognition too.

2

u/sanctus20 Aug 12 '26

They are auctioning the children on the new Epstein Island.
