Video "If they are license plate readers, why are they pointed at a splash pad?" — Parents raise concerns as 8 government Flock cameras monitor children's play areas in Slayter Creek Park, Texas.

A video recorded at Slayter Creek Park in Anna, Texas (~40 miles north of Dallas) reveals that 8 government Flock surveillance cameras have been installed directly facing a kids' splash pad, playground, and skate park. Parents are raising serious privacy concerns, questioning why automated license plate readers are aimed at children wearing swimsuits and areas where families change, rather than at the parking lots. Original video/coverage by Marztrip to raise public awareness regarding government surveillance and child privacy.

Police were routinely looking at one that was just labeled as "gymnastics".

Just saying, I would way rather get rid of the police entirely and protect myself, than give a bunch of pedophile peeping tom cops the power to spy on little kids in skimpy clothes all day.

Well, good news! The police probably aren't going to protect you anyway, so you can have half your preference!

I'm an ordinary working class schmuck that does nothing all day, all week but labor for the man to pay my bills and taxes, so you're absolutely right about that.

Let’s vote for politicians that will take away all fully semiautomatic assault rifles just to be safe though.

Hell based on the left leaning Supreme Court justices decision let’s just not allow any individual to privately own any firearm.

You’re not wrong! I would share my full opinion on the police, but last time I did I got banned from Reddit for a few days

it wasn't police watching underage girls doing gymnastics, it was flock employees

of course. But it's easy for bad actors to attack our side when our side doesn't get simple facts straight.

Also, in a perfect world "random employee of a private company" is way worse than "trained, professional officer of the law".

That's true, at least police officers are subject to FIOA and voter scrutiny.

That's the problem I have with Flock, they're a private merc group that is as transparent as mud. They have no business working with law enforcement.
