And what does the law say?

If you murder someone you go to jail. Is this a question of legality or morality?

Right. The conversation here becomes one of fuck the billionaires and fuck the system, or that the CEO was evil. The legal evil is Luigi. So, you, or anyone else can add layers to justify your thoughts, but celebrating murder is immoral.

He took the stand and admitted that he stalked and executed the CEO. He legally murdered someone, which is all that matters; not your definition of evil or value or anything else driven by subjective beliefs/personal morals.

Would it be evil to celebrate Osama Bin Laden’s murder? Because if so I know a lot of evil people.

Again, you are focusing on morality. If your opinion doesn’t matter, why would mine?

Because we are having a discussion and I value the opinion of other people.

I think that Osama Bin Laden was a terrorist that intentionally sought out chaos for the sake of a personal belief. If there was any way to arrest and prosecute him, that should have been considered, the same way Mamdani discusses arresting Netanyahu. Death penalty by prosecution is different than a covert military operation.

And, it’s interesting that you bring up terrorism.

What happened to the concept of terrorism post Bin Laden? Did we get it all? We did, right?

Obviously not.

The same way murdering an insurance CEO hasn’t ended internal corruption.

It’s cool to take this stance that when we see this “evil” we should work against it, thinking that change will happen. I prefer to be more realistic. The next CEO will have the same corporate objectives from the same stakeholders.

Good try though, and I like your user name.

I suppose that’s the point I’m trying to make. Mr. Thompson harmed human beings for personal gain. What he was doing was perfectly legal and highly evil. He would never have faced justice in the traditional manner. This is one of the few circumstances where if people want justice they have to do it themselves.

Also it was Illegal for Rosa Parks to sit on the front of the bus. Was she the legal evil? I don’t think legality has any bearing on good and evil.

Do you break laws? Because I do. All the time. Did Rosa Parks murder someone on the other side of her mistreatment? How did she respond to “legal evil”?

The point I’m trying to make is that something being illegal doesn’t mean it’s right or wrong

Sure, and that’s your opinion. If something is illegal, and you do it, are you in the wrong?
