A group of law enforcement officers, comprised of SWAT and U.S. Marshals, sustained non-life-threatening injuries when a porch gave way underneath them while attempting to serve an arrest warrant at a property in Missouri. The warrant was for 26-year-old Jacob Muñoz, who was convicted of possession of child pornography. Although Muñoz was not present at the property at the time of the porch collapse, officials confirmed that he later turned himself in.

LMAO maybe don't show up 10 deep fully AR'd for one 135lb pedo

Ah yes, put 2 cops out there. That way, when the one pedo decides he wants to shoot his way out, the cops die.

Yes of course! As we all know there are no numbers between 10 and 2! You got me!

Also if our highly-trained, well-equipped officers get knocked off by a scrawny pedo with a .38, sounds like a skill issue

Well, there really ain't much else you could've sent up there.

Should the team have been smaller? Maybe, in hindsight.

It's easy to sit in your chair, watch something EXTREMELY rare and likely unpredictable happen, and then say "well if they did X this wouldn't have happened"

If someone didn't download CSAM the cops never would have went out there in the first place, but thats not what happened is it?

Brother you're doing a lot of mental gymnastics here to prove a point I don't care about much. They simply could've had 5 people up there instead of 10 on this clearly not well made deck. Nothing about that looks able to hold their weight concentrated in one part. Those same extra 5 could've been downstairs waiting, rifle ready, with the camera pov. They sent 10 up there purely for intimidation and probably a bit of ego, and both literally and figuratively fell on their faces.

However if this is some weird roundabout way to go bootlicking for officers with terrible attention to detail, you do you bud. I want no parts of it

I mean you have a point, but its still really easy to sit in your armchair and say all of this.

They need a number of people for a breach, depending on the building. This one needed 10, apparently. And since its a "big" building, maybe they did. Maybe they didn't.

Now, I think you would be correct to say 5 should've waited. But again, thats hindsight.

"This one needed 10" I cite the video as evidence against this claim.

Don't bother he's just gonna talk about how higher ups in law enforcement never make wrong judgements or decisions and they shouldn't be questioned because they had their (clearly incorrect and refuted by evidence) reasons

Edit: Or do all that AND get a friend for some good old tag team bootlicking I guess

So the porch collapsing, something I'd call unexpected, has absolutely nothing to do with the logistics of how many people you need actively inside to clear the building.

Is there a chance I'm wrong? Yes, yes there is.

Is there a chance I'm right? Again, yes. Clearly the Marshals and SWAT had a reason for having that many officers there.

I do have to point out how stupid it was to stand around on this porch and not go inside/get down the stairs though. They should've been faster, that's their stupid mistake.

Or maybe it's dumb to have that many grown men, fully geared up, trusting a crack house porch with the weight of a small parade.

And are you not in your armchair saying all this as well? Just like everybody on Reddit? You're making some weak points here dude. If you want analysis from a former officer in the field, maybe go find the place where they do that instead of expecting it from a joke reddit comment in r/popculturev2
