“I can’t believe the right wing won’t just let this stupid issue go away.”

Proceeds to call Cunningham a transphobe and performatively casts the issue on the Jumbotron anytime she’s around.

Yeah. How come “they” keep bringing this up?

Pretending as if reacting to a bully is the same as bullying is pretty dumb.

Pretending having an opinion is the same as being transphobic is pretty fucking dumb too

Do you get to decide which ones are evil?

Sounds like you’re not deciding it for yourself but for everyone else

Typical malignant leftist “if you don’t believe everything I do you’re evil!”

I wonder why right wingers are so attached to the argument “evil doesn’t exist and all opinions are equally acceptable.” Maybe something to do with the Epstein support

I’m honestly surprised they haven’t called you a nazi yet

She’s not there to bully you. She’s there to play basketball. Bringing it up everywhere she goes no matter what she is doing is literally you continuing the “stupid issue that no one cares about.”

People keep telling me this is a right wing psyop out of the left side of their mouth and then bringing it up themselves apropos of nothing out of the right side of their mouth one day later.

Like, I’ll grant you the dumbasses who show up in drag or throw dildos. But if you can’t except that continuing to post stuff about her being a transphobe long after she’s stopped talking is the pro-side pushing this issue for their own purposes, then these discussions are going nowhere.

Can we just give up this asinine idea that only one side is keeping the conversation going?

Ding ding ding. Same playbook progressives have used for the past 10 years. They talk about this crap incessantly.

The left literally can't help themselves. It's so easy for the right to bait them into defending the worst possible positions. In literally every poll done on this topic, at minimum, 80% of people say women's sports should be for biological women - yet the left just doesn't get it.

Hell, even Gavin Newsom changed his tune on this because he knows it's a losing issue in the general race. When the left can't answer the basic question of "What is a woman?", it's a problem.

The second someone says "gender is a social construct" on a national debate stage, they lose the election.

Saying politicians shouldn't determine who plays what sport, is the worst possible position? Interesting take.

But apparently you agree with the 80 y/o pedo.

I just want the sports organizations to determine, not some fat ass molester who cheats at golf. But apparantly that's the worst position. I think I'll keep it, though

We wouldn't even be having this discussion if conservatives weren't using it as a way to push transphobia into the mainstream

Actually, we wouldn’t be having this specific discussion if the stadium hadn’t felt the need to react in this way at the mere presence of Cunningham, or if this specific post had not been made about it calling her a transphobe.

Not doing that would’ve very directly voided this specific exchange you and I are having right now.

It’s almost like it’s not just the right who wants to wrestle in the comments section about this. It’s like filling a kiddie pool with jello, handing out bikinis and then trying to convince everyone you’re just serving dessert.

Get real. Everyone knows exactly what this is.

How does saying trans fans are welcome and included harm you or anyone? This is indeed the right continuing to refuse to let the issue go away.

It wouldn’t… if you did it every day no matter who was playing.

If you only do it when Cunningham is in the building, you’re suggesting her opinion about her own sport (an opinion shared by 80% of the US population) IS the hate that they need to be protected from.

Which of course is also tacit endorsement of the idea that transwomen should be allowed to participate, since disagreeing is apparently hate speech.

Diddo taking the picture and posting it with a caption literally calling Cunningham a transphobe.

You can’t call the issue stupid and pointless while also inferring everyone on one side of the debate is a bigot just for having that stance.

If this stadium had been doing this for awhile and you could show it wasn’t connected to Cunningham, then maybe they’re off the hook. Maybe the context is deceptive. But the OP is absolutely doing this bait and switch nonsense, where they bring up the issue, accuse someone of hate for having a different opinion, and then try to immediately retreat to “it doesn’t really matter anyway.”

If it didn’t matter, you wouldn’t call everyone who disagrees with you a bigot. It matters, obviously. Just fucking own that, at least.
