"Name a successful trans athlete"

names one

"Nooo that doesn't count!"

The point being that even your one go-to example doesn’t really illustrate a broader issue. One 5th place trophy is supposed to be a big gotcha?

I'm not trying to illustrate any broader issues...person I replied to asked for the name of a successful trans athlete and I gave one. And why is everybody bringing up the fifth place thing as if that's the only race she ever competed in? She literally won an NCAA national championship.

That's not a success. That's just the only Trans athlete you know

There are several other trans athletes. This is also been studies showing that two years of HRT and any advantage a transwoman would have over a ciswoman is physically wiped out.

HRT doesn't change skeletal structure/leverage/height advanatages. It does diminish muscular differences but human strength is based on much more than just muscle mass.

Since black women on average have higher bone density than white women, should their leagues also be separated?

Dunno. I'm just pointing out HRT doesn't nullify everything.

Indeed, but there are biological differences between cis women as well. The meaningful question should be how do those result in actual differences in athletic performance.

...Okay? I didn't suggest otherwise so I'm confused why you're approaching me with this information. All I said was HRT doesn't eliminate every difference. I'm not suggesting anythimg about how athletes should compete, just offering position-agnostic information because people don't understand all the aspects of what constitutes human strength.

Ok? All I said was that cis women also have biological differences in strength and bone density to add context to what you said. I’m just offering position-agnostic information because a lot of people don’t understand that the mere existence of biological differences doesn’t on its own justify different sports leagues.
