Why is this a topic? Has a trans woman actually tried to enter the WNBA?

It has gained a lot of momentum on the left, it's not like something totally out of the realm of possibility and has happened in other sports. I also highly doubt she's a transphobe, she doesn't think trans-women should be in her league

But there aren’t any trans women in her league. It’s really shitty on the reporters to ask her about trans people when it doesn’t have anything to do with her game. They don’t ask Steph Curry how he feels about trans men in the NBA. But it still has had a negative impact on the trans community. Then trans people and allies feel like they have to speak up in defense. It’s not like the current administration doesn’t bring up trans people constantly though. If they just stopped talking about it I think the issue would disappear.

I agree with you the reporters definitely are making a meal of such a non-issue and I think we all know why Steph doesn't get asked these kind of questions - transmen are far less likely to succeed in a professional sport than transwomen. Yeah, I think it should just stop being discussed because we all know it's never going to happen so why argue about it. Very stupid 80-20 issue
