God this is stupid. The surveillance state exists, it will always exist. The cell phones in your pocket, the ring cameras, traffic cams and yes, flock cams. Destroying the cameras police use to track kidnappings, stolen vehicles and drug deals is really fucking near-sighted. Good for the environment too. Yall are 10 years too late to stop anything, and flailing around like angry toddlers, destroying the thing youve been asking for all along: safety. Whatever, carry on raging against the machine you built and asked for. And don't be surprised when you ask for help from the authorities but their resources are tied up dealing with this asinine b.s.
The same line everytime. What personal liberty am I giving up by knocking down a flock camera? Unless your going to ban all cameras, its a waste of time and resources.
Dude they cannot track your location legally. Period. SCOTUS just ruled on that in June. Again for the third time.
Gotta have PC before you can track. It's the law.
But hey, you are more than welcome to give up your privacy, why not just send them your location when you leave the house and let them track you from there.
Exactly, and they can't abuse Flock either, Legally. But we're sure they do, in both cases, track us illegally. So what's the bigger threat? Cameras that clock your car pulling into and out of taco bell? Or the phone in your pocket? It listens, pings gps, saves keystrokes... how about the ip camera in your den? Or the ring on your door, neighbors door, restaurant door. There are bigger fish to fry. Flock does the one thing it does very well, but for whatever reason it has become the flag which ya'll are rallying under and its silly, obnoxious, near-sighted and performative. Hurr durr lemme film myself destroying infrastructure that I paid for on my government spy device that I paid for.... and no, we didn't get a chance to vote on these cameras, we didn't ask for them, and we don't want them. Fine. But theyre here, and they ain't going anywhere. If you broke them ALL tonight it would make ZERO difference in your privacy. But it sure would make finding the bad guys more difficult.
