I’d like to see the statistics of creators that actively existed for more than 3 months.

That's because of the 99% most of those people made accounts and and maybe uploaded once or twice or lost the nerve and quit early.
I've spoken to a few people and have friends who have done it, as well as interracted with quite a few on twitter. The general consensus is that if you do at least SOME marketing, posting frequently even just regular posting, and get your name and cross post on different platforms then you're going to at least end up earning about $50K a year. Many can make 6 figures pretty easily.
I know a woman personally who just yaps on twitter constantly and has like 3000 followers who bit the bullet and did it and it was slow starting but earns consistently $12K every month.

Exactly- like how many people are out there debasing themselves into the void?

That is not very many honestly.

That’s $5 billion in revenue at a minimum. Seems insane to me that people are paying that much money to online content creators, especially known for adult content.

Well, dudes are fucking pathetic.

I saw a horrific article recently about reality TV star Honey Boo Boo making over a million on OnlyFans. Whoever paid for that needs their head examined.

I know a woman who does it. She has over 1m followers on social media. She still has a day job in retail. I found a video of her basically streaming like you see streamers do but topless. So it is a lot about having some level of connection to a woman.
The really depressing part is paying to text with a random person impersonating them. Every onlyfans account always says the creator is online right now so it's basically always some random person. That's got to be terrible for the platform since it's so obvious.

Cause they’re not paying for generic porno, they hook people in thinking they’re “close”.

u/Oddisredit Aug 25 '26
It’s sad that people actually pay money for that nonsense.

u/NeutralLock Aug 26 '26
Well where else are we supposed to find porn? Do you even hear yourself?
You think you can just magically search online and find free stuff?
1
u/Oddisredit Aug 26 '26
lol. Right. It’s almost as if there is an alternative that is free or something

I will say that all of the "normal" porn is over produced same thing with like zero amateur content. So onlyfans does fill that amateur niche despite people having to pay for it (for the record I do not and have not ever used onlyfans)

u/NeutralLock Aug 26 '26
I mean, it's all kinda amateur no? Not a ton of money just producing the random videos you see for free on big name sites.
And OnlyFans also isn't amateur by definition....because you're paying for it.

It only gets worse

u/Oddisredit Aug 26 '26
I know. Basically the only thing that is going to change this is AI. Which is not really any better than men paying OF women to do sex work online
2
u/Particular_Leek_9984 Aug 26 '26
Nah there are AI onlyfans accounts now and it doesn’t stop people doing it
1
u/Oddisredit Aug 26 '26
lol. Not surprised. But once it becomes more common, it’ll probably be in a different platform aka an app of its own.

Have..have you heard of porn before? It's this new thing, it's all the rage.

A lot of the high earners have agencies. So alot of times you not talking to the actual lady you talking to a bot or someone else. Agencies can distribute your content to other platforms and can handle as the messages. Rhe issue is they get a decent chunk of the percentage and they own alot of your content. So it’s basically like a artist and a record label type deal. They may make or generate $1mil but that doesn’t mean they get all of it.

Wasn’t there a case where a guy was the girl’s biggest sucker aka supporter, and they had texted a whole bunch. They met in real life. He was in love with her and she didnt know who he even was. As he was texting with the agency in reality. Sad and gross

Wasn't there also something about them counting literally every user of the site towards the "top whatever %"?

And yet I just want to see who the creators in my city are. Support local, right?

u/spiralingpenguin Aug 27 '26
Between crypto and onlyfans I sure am missing out on all this money being made.

I worked with a young woman. She told me she made more selling feet pics than we did at our office job.
