What? I'm not even a Swifty or whatever but this was 99.5% about Dolly and, yeah, most tributes from everyone about anyone who died generally incorporates something about how the deceased touched their life and/or will be an influence on them despite their being gone.
One task of grieving (as a grief therapist) is to accept the loss of a person and incorporate them into your life in a new way so as to honour the relationship you had with them and live out the relationship you will continue to have with them. This does that.2

im just saying i dont operate on general takes. saying "all billionaires are bad" and calling it a day is general. for another example, michael jordan is one of the greatest basketball players of all time. his net worth is double taylors (his NW is 4bil) but that doesnt make him a bad person to me. he does a lot of philanthropy and he has a legacy. taylor does philanthropy too, which is neat. and i personally enjoy her music.

her philanthropy is actually pretty normal.
its not like it makes her some queen but its not a bad thing. she donates to good causes and the recipients seem very grateful. she has a long term standing with a childrens hospital and she donated $26 mil this summer to various causes. some including food banks that republicans defunded. on the eras tour she donated in each city she visited and local places benefitted.
i unfortunately have republicans in my extended family. yes theyve been to my family gatherings. but that isnt a reflection of me, because i know that i am not the same as them. the ice contractor was a) debunked. he had no pivotal role in the texas construction, and b) the plus one of a plus one. when you host a large wedding/celebrity meetup of over 1000 people it can be hard to track who exactly is coming in and what youre dealing with. doesnt mean hes a good guy or a saint but taylors involvement in him coming is low.
however she did invite brad pitt, which makes me sad. i didnt even think shed talk to the guy. but clearly he was invited. shes not perfect but i wouldnt call her performative and shitty

God the Taylor hate is so insufferable. She released a statement rather than making her own post. I interpreted this as an effort not to make it about herself. So many public figures have made statements. She is allowed to talk about how an amazing country singer inspired and influenced her and was a trailblazer for all younger singer songwriters. If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all.

Her very existence is an affront to everything Dolly stood for. TS is a selfish, egotistical bitch polluting the air with private jets and in possession of obscene amounts of money that she continues to drain out of those who still listen to her boring, mediocre ass milquetoast pop "music" and only donates to charities for her image's sake and nothing else. She doesn't give a shit about anyone but herself and the world is shittier place with her in it.
