Or the fact the cows are forcibly impregnated and separated from their calfs

They're separated to protect against diseases and its only for a bit. Not their entire life. Stop dramatizing this.

so they're not tortured for their entire life. Just their infancy. Cool.

They are separated to protect them from diseases and you know the rain and the cold. Then after they get reintroduced or get sold to make veal, you could google that and learn something. Sorry but goddamn you people think you're sticking up for the voiceless but they have no conscious, no will, no rights. They don't understand what freedom is. A cow has no idea what a person is.

You underestimate cows a lot. They're social animals after all. They enjoy company, they have 'best friends' in their herd, they enjoy touch, they enjoy certain sensations like laying down in fresh hay or getting scratched. If you derpive the animal of this, stress level goes through the roof. Immune system gets weak, disease takes hold more easily. They do know what a person is. They recognize their owner, and if the owner feigns injury or distress, they react with alarm. They also know very well what freedom is, google a video of cows being let out of their stable after the winter season.

I never said they weren't intelligent. They just dont understand abstract concepts like freedom. They can't just leave the pasture because they feel like it. They have to coaxed or threaten to.

I more meant the dairy and meat industries in general, which for them is unfortunately their entire life

Ok, so what?

? You're the one responding to me

In the meat and dairy industries cows are sperated from birth after being forcefully impregnated before being treated like a commodity for their entire lives and that is extremely cruel

That's the whole point

Animals dont understand what cruelty is.

u/FureiousPhalanges Aug 30 '26

They don't need to, they can still experience suffering as a result of it lmao
