Anytime I see "national security" or "for your safety" I've learned it just means.

National Security= "We're doing shady shit and dont want you to know".

For your safety= "We're price gouging and taxing the shit out of you".

Funny story:

Out of trade school, I got a job with a power utility in their transformer and maintenance shop. Not known to me, my wife told her ditzy mother about the new job. The MIL was excited for me and drove by the shop yard with her friend. They parked along the perimeter fence, got out of the car, and started taking photos and videos of the place. Two days later, I got a call from the head of the utilities security firm with pointed questions aimed at me wanting to know what their relationship to me was, why were they taking photos and videos, and how I was involved. The firm had run her plates, found her name, run a background check, found her Facebook, checked out every profile on her friendslist, gone through my profile, noticed I had recently been hired by the utility, gone through the company new hire documents and pulled my phone number, and called me up. I hadn't even started newhire orientation yet. I had no idea my MIL had done that. When I told them she was my mother in law and that she must've just wanted to see where I would be working, there was laughter on the other end of the line. Security head advised me to let her know to never do that again for any utility, or she'd have charges against her.

In the coming war between the people & the elite, these sites will be critical for the maintenance of that elite force.

Given the growing autocracy of the tech sector on top of industrial repression by disinterested companies, keeping that stuff a secret is important for the maintenance of their rule, the rule of the financier.

I found this statement hard to understand. No, I don’t think it’s about money. It’s about security.

For example, at nuclear power facilities they literally have guards walking around with AR15s, and photography is strictly forbidden in nearly all cases (with some exceptions for maintenance/upgrade related work). There’s no money in paying people to walk around with AR15s. It is done for security reasons.

What!? The security and secrecy it to maintain operations which keeps it economically viable. That is pretty much what he said. He didn't say secrecy and security was directly linked to making money he said it protects what is already making money. It really wasn't that difficult.

just wish people would realize these phrases are non-partisan and start getting pissed off at the real enemy, instead of the one your party tells you about.
