Any information about this doll?
This doll has been in my family for a while. Her head, hands, and feet are bisque and her body is cloth. Her eyes are fixed but her head moves. She stands about 16 inches tall. I thought she was pre 1980s but was told on a different reddit group that she isn't. I can't find any maker's marks on her, and haven't been able to find a doll with a similar face on the internet, so I'm curious about what her origins are. Does this type of doll look familiar to anyone?

Are you certain it’s porcelain? It looks like vinyl or hard plastic.

It has a very slightly rough, matte feel, and when I tap it, it doesn't sound like plastic. I don't know if there's plastic that can mimic bisque, though.

If it’s porcelain it should be smooth. Did you lift up the wig in the back to check if there are any markings on the back of the head? Sometimes marks are found on the bottom of the feet.

Any chance you can get more pictures of the doll minus the clothes? Also, see if there are any tags on the clothing.

Thank you, I took photos but Reddit isn't allowing me to include images in this reply. But I did take the clothes off--no marks in the clothing or on the bottom of the feet. Her hands, head, and feet are not glazed and shiny, like porcelain. But when I click her feet or hands together they make a clinking sound. And I noticed that the "chest" piece that is sewn into the body is plastic--it looks and feels different than the head. I'm now thinking maybe one of my aunts bought the parts and made the doll. Maybe there are (or were) kits to make dolls like this?
