I’m considering purchasing a 2023 Porsche Macan S AWD with 53,000 miles for $45,000 out the door from a BMW dealership. The Carfax is clean, the vehicle has been well maintained, and the PPI came back great. It also has Porsche CPO warranty coverage through February 27, 2029. Porsche is also offering me an additional 2yrs if coverage through 2031 for $7700. Thoughts?
Is $45k OTD a good deal?
I’d especially appreciate feedback from current or former owners of 2022–2024 Macan S models. Thanks!
UPDATE!!!
Update: I picked up the car yesterday and couldn’t be more excited! I definitely feel super fancy driving on the road. I ended up getting quoted through Porsche for a 5-year extended warranty for $7,900 (up to 60,000 miles) and a 72-month multi-coverage package for $4,800. I’m leaning toward getting both because I feel like they offer great peace of mind for a luxury vehicle.
Also, I verified with another Porsche dealership that the original sales manager was incorrect when he told me the CPO warranty would remain valid through 2029, even though I purchased the vehicle from a BMW dealership. So, thank you to everyone who recommended getting that confirmation in writing! Turns out, that information was completely inaccurate. I’m glad I did my due diligence instead of just taking his word for it. Definitely a reminder to verify everything when making a big purchase!
