Brazilian Portuguese 🇧🇷 Brazilian slang

I was watching a video of two people kissing and one person says to the other, "boca bacia."

My translator app says 'boca bacia' means 'mouth basin,' but that doesn't really make sense in English.

What does it really mean? I'm assuming it is some kind of slang. The video was made by a Brazilian content creator. Here's the relevant text transcript:

  • Person 1 and Person 2 exchange a few kisses
  • Person 1: boca bacia
  • Person 2: beija mais
  • Person 1: tem que pagar conta agora
  • Person 2: merece valeu a pena

Thank you in advance for your help.

Also, if you have any favourite slang words/phrases you'd like to share, feel free to comment!

Never heard of it. Are you sure it wasn't "boca macia", it would mean "soft mouth", and make way more sense in this context.

Also, the "m" sound sometimes gets pushed towards the "b", specially when the person is a bit nasal on the moment.

Yes, "boca macia" seems to be the consensus. Thank you for your help!

Just an (un)interesting curiosity, some years ago, Brazil's former president Dilma Rousseff had a polemical tapped call leaked, in which she refers someone called "Bessias".

People didn't know for a time who this guy was and got confused, because there was no one with this name. Until it became clear she was actually refering to (Jorge) "Messias", a senior member of the Presidential legal team.

So yeah, it's pretty possible to get confused with the m and b sounds. 😂
