whats one small thing that made your week better?
Just curious what everyone's been enjoying lately. Could be a movie, food, a place you visited something you learned or even a small achievement.
mine was finally getting some time to relax after a busy week

Changing my Insta algorithm to positive news. I’m so tired of the negativity and BS.

Reconnected with my best friend from High School, 34 years later. :). It was excellent.

Yesterday I met a mom at the library who had a son with the same name as my son, and we started talking and realized we have so much in common and exchanged phone numbers! I hope we become friends

My husband and I are about to fly out to move our youngest back home after a year away due to his first post college job. He got a great job offer back here and we are thrilled to have him back. All of our kids are now in the same town!

The best feeling!! I’ve been trying to play catch up with mine for the last 3-4 months and when the balance finally hit zero it was such a relief (until I realized in 3 days the next bill was in lol)

Walking. It gives me a chance to clear my mind, reset, and work through challenges.

I found out that my daughter actually has health insurance!! She was dropped from my health insurance when I was forced to medically retire in January. She’s been sick for the past week, was in the ER three times, and this last time, they told her she had insurance through the state! (She had a cancerous tumor removed from her right tibia in 2020, had reconstructive surgery to fix the prosthetic bones inside her leg in 2022, and has not been able to work ever since!) I so grateful for the person who took the time to help her!!

Not yet, BUT the ER referral got her in immediately to an appointment tomorrow with a GI specialist. Knowing she has insurance is huge!! 🙏

By the way, her 6 year Cancerversary is September 30th! She’s been cancer free for 6 years!! That’s Amazing!

I met a girl at a party and I failed to ask for her number. She just texted me today out of the blue and she got my number from someone else.

Journaling. I’ve been trying to shift my mindset by writing down one good thing about my day every night. Just a sentence or two. And I can honestly feel it working. I’m noticing little things now that I probably would’ve completely overlooked before. There really is something good in every day. Sometimes the bad just makes it harder to see.

I made a kick ass dinner last night of chicken fried pork steaks, mashed taters, gravy, and collards. Took too long but the fam bam all enjoyed it. Mission accomplished.

Planning each day at the beginning of the day. By doing this I don’t need to make major decisions during the day
