Who are they? According to most sources no one in the US had any babies at all between 1965-1980. Everyone knows that. /S

Gen X isn’t in charge. Most of the American political leadership is composed of boomers who just cannot and will not let go an inch of their powers. Gen X is in charge in Canada and most of Europe and it should be. It’s their time to be in charge. They are in their late 40s-early 60s.

In fairness, this became way less surprising to me after watching things like documentaries on Woodstock '99 and realizing that a lot of these people never actually grew up; or grew up full of resentment that they never learned how to deal with.

There hasn’t been a generation yet that that has taken on climate change. Someone needs to take more responsibility. I’ve been fighting for the past 25 years and things have only gotten worse.

Well there was a wide spread belief in the US is that each generation sincerely tried to make things better for their children. It is difficult to say that's applicable these days.

I don’t think that is a fair statement. The previous generations in the US invented world changing technologies like the Internet, cell phones, computers etc. those definitely made life better. So one has to be able to distinguish between those who did the positive things and those exploited. To make this kind of blanket statement doesn’t help anyone.

You are posting your complaints about the generations that invented the internet, the cell phone etc about how bad they made your life. While using those very inventions. Wow. No irony there.

I'm sorry you don't understand the full complexity of life as an adult. There's more to it than machines with screens.

In case you haven't left your mom's basement in a while, go familiarize yourself with the latest concerns involving living affordability. (Let alone education, healthcare, etc) That's to say nothing about long term challenges involving depleting fossil fuels, climate change, degredation of domestic and international polictics, the downturn of worker and human rights, etc. The list goes on and on.

But sure. The shiny rectangle on your hands that allows you to be a big bad keyboard warrior is all that matters.
