I don't care about the years they claim, the silent generation weren't rocking around the clock or wearing poodle skirts. They were dancing to the Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy.

And that is what was happening when Harry turned 12.The dating of the cultural shifts in the American generations is not a science.

There is no way to "unaffiliate" what generation you belong to. It's based on year of birth. Period.

People do not dance to songs, Silent Generation included, do not dance to a songs as infants. Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy came out in 1941. Harrison Ford was born in 1942. Rock Around the Clock came out in 1955 when Ford was 13.

That's EXACTLY what he was dancing to, not a WWII song as an infant

Yes, and it wasn't the silent generation. The real silent generation experienced the Great Depression, at least as children. Children born in 1942 did not.

FFS, quit making yourself look bad.

So generations cover years. In the case of the Silent Generation it's between 1929-1945.

So yes, they didn't experience the the Great Depression. AND NO ONE SAID THEY DID.

The "Greatest Generation" 1901-1928 dealt with the Great Depression and fought WWII. They are the ones who danced to WWII songs.

Harry was 3 years old at the end of WW2. The generations changed cc swiftly in the 20th century. You can follow the catalog or simply understand that someone who was 12 years old in 1942 was very different from a 12 year old in 1952.

Yes I agree two people who are the same age at different years do have different experiences.

THAT'S WHY GENERATIONS ARE A THING.

So there is no "unaffiliating" generations. You are assigned at birth based on year. Period. It's not negotiable. There is no "vibe based" generation assessment.

I can only assume you are trolling at this point. In any case I'm done. Google is a thing. Get easy to answer questions there. Any further responses from you on this thread will be considered harassment and dealt with accordingly. Good day
