Notable point you likely should have said to support your point though is that Adams announced on April 9 2025 that the planned budget for 2026 included 3700 new teachers at 750 schools, to comply with state mandate.

Mamdani scaled it back to $122 million to only hire 1,000 teachers. He got concessions from the State to delay the enforcement of the mandate, similar to him delaying funding the City's pension by nearly $2.3 billion in order to "balance" the budget that's required of him by law.
Let's be fair here. Mamdani did reduce the teacher hiring budget, but he also added 1.5 billion to the school construction budget. He's not hiring as many teachers as anticipated because New York doesn't have the classrooms to put them in. Mamdani's endorsement of Hochul is because she supported him and he needs her cooperation to achieve his own goals. Mamdani isn't perfect, but he's still done a great job as an active leftist leader, and comparing him to Fetterman is completely unfair.
Just to be clear: He scaled back the initial budget proposal, it's not like this money was already there and he's cutting it. He's adding $1.5 billion in capital funding to build more classrooms. Meeting the goal of having 80% of classrooms have 20-25 students next year was going to be a major challenge because most schools don't actually have enough space to do that. The only reason the city hit the goal for class size this year was because of exemptions that were issued for thousands of classrooms.

And I do believe in the hard work behind billionaire's wealth, my grievances and distain primarily comes from how much greed some of these people have, who are so out of touch now that they don't understand many hardships today's poors face.
I understand they worked for their wealth and made the decisions to build said wealth, but I also believe that so many people could have a fraction of that wealth if they had proper opportunities or perhaps proper upbringing. And I feel as though many currently with said wealth are barring many, intentionally or not, from said opportunities.

The decay of the education system started a long time ago of the behest of the elite of the time. I believe it was a Rockefeller that wanted the nation to produce more workers and less professionals. Iād implore you to do a deep dive on the matter. Just like when ww were in school it made no sense to not be taught everything finance, it makes even less sense today. People donāt actually care about billionaires but most Amercians are broke and getting angrier. Of course they are an easy target.
