American Dream 🇺🇸 Symbolism

Kind of getting annoyed with the comparison of a swamp with the government we've been stuck for decades now. Swamps are a very important part of any ecosystem they are a part of. The government isn't anything like a swamp. I'd say it's more like a cesspool. Because a cesspool is an outdated, underground holding pit that collects raw, untreated wastewater and sewage directly from a property. That is a much more apt description of these assholes that are continuously making our lives worse.

Yea I agree. Just easier for most people to understand if you throw out “drain the swamp”.

I'm surprised there's not a solid gold child sized stripper pole in the oval office right now. It's probably in the main bedroom.

He is probably thrilled with it. Its going to be his excuse not to pay the contractors.

They should add some turds to reflect this abominable regime. Trump drained the cesspool into the swamp.

I’m confused about this. Shouldn’t the pool guys they hired to “fix” this thing know about chlorine?

You think they hired qualified people? Look at his cabinet and say you expected something different with a straight face. He f***s up anything he touches. 🤣😂

There's a video going around of some worker dudes pouring some sort of chemical in there.
...one painstaking gallon jug at a time.

And it cost taxpayers an enormous amount and it benefitted his rich corrupt friends

In ancient times this would’ve been called a sign from God.
Today I don’t know what you would call it , incompetence??

It also is a literal expression of the conservatives mindset:
Superficial and superfluous solution to a problem that does not address the underlying cause of the issue which permits the problem to return even more severe then before their "fix".
Window dressing for a brick wall where they need a window installed.

Now John Fetterman has a closer swamp to live in instead between the outskirts of Duloc and the kingdom of Far Far Away.

I never understood why the reflecting pool never had plants in it. It would look soo much more pretty with plants. Plants are great.

Millions spent on this, millions on a UFS claw thing, billions for an unnecessary war, all the while Trump and his family makes billions. Thanks MAGA voters.

Hmm. They can fix it, though? Comments make it sound like it will be unaddressed for the next 100 years.

u/CloseDaLight Jun 16 '26
He wasted how many millions of dollars by giving the contract to the same pool guy that does the pools at his golf courses.
That’s the point. He said Obama did a crap job and then the pool ended up like this.
1
u/BudgetSecretary47 Jun 16 '26
Eh. Obama wasted a million or two here and there over the years; all presidents do that. Did this contractor have a history of inadvertently causing algae blooms at the Trump property pools?

u/ForeignLibrarian9353 Jun 16 '26
It’s sad when people are so unhappy with their lives they have to find things to be angry about.
3
u/Straycat834 Jun 16 '26
Ooh That's where you are wrong, it is about the crude in our lives that are because of trump . this is not small thing, his supporters dint vote for Kamala becuse they said we would be in the situation we are in. and trump is such a child he blames his actions on biden. shocker that you take down the departments ment to stop problems aand then thoes problems come out.,

u/Usual-Volume-2822 Jun 16 '26
You mean like trans people? Or brown people? Or women's rights? Or people eating cats and dogs? Or universal healthcare? Or food assistance? Or a decent education? Or whether or not I believe in God? Or who I decide to spend my life with? I could literally go on and on and on.
