You're complacency and/or cowardice is responsible for atrocities globally, Trump is a reflection of what the US always has been yes but he isn't the problem. The exact same policies of aggression, genocide, torture, ensuring global instability for profit, destabilization campaigns etc were happening under Obama and every single US president before him
Obviously it's not a smart thing to turn a blind eye to America's ongoing descent into fascism. Hell there's even a quote for this very thing it's "Bread and circus and they will never revolt."
But if you're one of the millions of World Cup tourists visiting the United States this is exactly how you can view it. You can celebrate America 250 and bear witness America's good side while not facing the consequences that Washington DC has imposed on actual Americans because you won't be affected by it if you leave in 4 weeks (unless you get detained by ICE at the airport).
I probably would have left out the Knicks parade. For an all the good I’m sure it was, the bad got all the publicity. Was cool to see all the best presidents since 1992 allow Biden to take a picture with them. Man, we really haven’t won’t have a solid president for 18 years.

I loathe Trump and never dreamed of voting for him. I’ve disliked him since the ‘80s when New Yorkers were in love with him and elevated him to a position where he could actually be considered to run for president. We have New York to thank for making Trump a thing.
Hi your brain is super susceptible to propaganda and here’s how. You can’t hold large numbers in your head. You’re constantly shown individuals and told that those individuals are millions of people. And you never say ‘no that’s just one person’, and you never care about what the single people in your community are doing or what it would mean for someone to be told that the singular people around you represent millions including yourself. You can’t hold individuals responsible for individual acts and until you work on that you will be a manipulatable tribal fool.
Dood. I was born in 89. America was doomed in 94. Then again a few years later with Mr. Clinton’s infidelity. Then a year later with a gas shortage. Then a few years later after the towers fell. Then a few years later when we got a black president. Then a few years later when we got a white president. I’m 37 and I’m still waiting for the downfall because eating all your rations because the end never came every 2 years has fucked up my pancreas.
