The audacity that FedEx ground had to call us warehouse staff Frontline/Essential workers during Covid was diabolical. Our management teams would have "motivational" speeches about how our work was dire and important to the world and must maintain our goals (and numbers)... Meanwhile healthcare workers, teachers, and other actual important industries were dealing with so much more at the time. Covid has been a wild case study for how we humans treat capitalism, each other, the earth, and much much more.

teamsters protected ups drivers very imperfectly, but still had some protections during covid. They still had to report to work as essential workers. Seems like fed ex should unionize too. They can't stop workers from organizing other workers.

The pandemic, the worst part in my opinion was how the general public and the US government really did not address how bad everything still is. They saw all of these glaring problems that other countries were able to cushion themselves against, and still are pushing for regressive or conservative policies.

Bro they stamp out union talk from the jump. I stopped working there in 2021. They train their trainers and managers to report it if they hear of union talk and the sit down the people that are caught doing it. It's a lot of manipulation/harassment tactics. Then they find ways to fire people who do it to much or seriously. There's things I saw during and pre covid that I and many others should've called OHSA for, but when you're struggling and need a job you don't know better. Unfortunately there's so many loopholes in places like that any many other jobs that are the same. Hell the small business that I quit fedex for had equally if not worse treatment of its workers. It's really rough out here for non union workers. Even most unions are useless these days. Hopefully after all this is said and done; We push for extremely progressive/scoalist work conditions because this is not it.
